My wife & I drove out to the fairmont on a Friday for the weekend away from Delhi experience. We had our three and a half year old in the back seat. For those driving to the Fairmont from Delhi, the first bit of beauty is the approach to the hotel. No traffic! Yay! It falls before the city, so you are spared from the "reached but not reached cause I was stuck in the destination traffic feeling". It's a wretched feeling after a long drive and thankfully there is no need to suffer that here. The opulence I found at the Fairmont is in the space you get & the service you receive. The corridors, the rooms and the bathrooms are all bright, wide and alive. We found the staff incredibly available. Whatever we needed was promptly provided. We were on the "Gold floor". It's like the "executive club" or "privilege club" floors. This floor comes with its own lounge and deck area that is serviced by staff happy to bring you endless cappuccinos & cookies. We asked if the hotel could find us a babysitter - Mommy & daddy wanted to go out for Saturday dinner. And the head of housekeeping personally found us someone. She (the baby sitter) was fantastic! She was a hotel employee and just so very patient with our son. He fell asleep 15mins into her care. I would highly recommend this property for a luxury weekend away.
