Obviously unique place, as we can see the photos. The room, the interior, the wall, especially the rooftop, all is unique! But it's not only its uniqueness that makes it a good place to stay, but also the staff. Moreover, they have tour package with a good price! Even when i was late to know it, they're still able to manage the tour for a half day for me. So for me it's a complete package overall, you can get a unique experience, with also a good cleanliness, cool rooftop and helpful staff!
Hathroi palace made Jaipur feel like home! The vibe is like no where else I've been and the workers went above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Especially the amazing owner Ajeet! I will never forget my stay here and can't wait to go back!
Want to know how is staying in this hostel?
Ok, it's not just a simple Hostel thou, there's a magic things going on here. Want to here who the main caracters of the story are before your 3,14th type of encounter ?
So here they are:
There's a young King, he will come down whenever you show up and bring you immediately up where he is, to make you feel how it feels to be a King, keep your eyes wide open while he shows everything and more you could ever imagine about his city and the land of him, just remember to not to offer any money for it, he'll be offended so long. You will have other special moments to pay your bills.
There's a 2.0 spiritual guru master, in common clothes, no need much talking, he will see you as a transparent glass of water, or of whatever you've fulled up yourself, and will gift you with some innocent questions, that are meant to enlighten your path, try to keep the doors of your devine part of the soul wide open, and be blessed by it.
There's a wonderful painter, with calm and innocent look, and you will need time to unwrap the layers of paintings around to discover the beautiful spiritual abstract art she's made of, and again you'll be too far from it.
Oh there's a Joker too, if you will be lucky enough to see or participate on his spectacles, be ready to keep your organs inside your belly while you will lough out your soul out of your body, and don't even encounter it as your "moksha experience". Advise: try not to talk about Baba Ramdev or it will be the end for you.
There's a Alladin too, funny and helpful in every single moment of your stay, you'll find him at the reception, most probably as a first person welcoming you as a Bro.
There's a moustache babu, you will not understand what's his job there, but i assure you he is everywhere doing everything that's needed to be done. He is free hugs disposer too, try!
There are many others in this story, like great Chef who will delight you with wonderful food and his kind helpers, a strange waiter with everlasting betel in his mouth, that will charge you 150 Rs for every time you'll thank him in English, so learn it in Hindi please.
So if you are ready, you could be a part of this interactive life story, discover more than others and make it your story too, just choose wich role you want to play and go for it.
In any case you could go there also if you need just a bed where to sleep, nobody will blame you for it, the bed mattress is tough enough to cure your back pain, maybe. The rooms are clean.
I stayed in this hostel with my husband and it was truly amazing! We have been traveling for over a year and stayed in many great hostels but this one was special. The rooms are very affordable and comfortable, but the staff are so warm and welcoming. Ajeet and his team took us on tours around Jaipur and Rajasthan. We witnessed so much more off the beaten track because of Hathroi. The icing on the cake is the roof top chill out bar which is a haven from the chaotic streets of India... Where you can relax with a beer, good food and some local kids came with a charity to perform a dance. We made some great friends from all over the world - including Ajeet and friends - so will definitely go back there!
Stayed here for about 6 days, intended to stay for one, everyone here immediately made me feel at home; we wandered around the fort flying kites, went to a locals temple for an evening, chilledout a lot, and I'm sad to leave.
The water's hot, the company's warm, and my sleep was decent.
Just make sure you manage to leave at some point ;D
