Just loved the stay......the stay is totally worth the money you spend. The staff was very courteous esp Ratna in the Italian restaurant was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully furnished ,the SONY LED is a welcome modern touch to the hotel. There were lots of pigeons & peacocks in the swimming pool area making it truly wow. Will definitely go back for more .

What a highlight! What a highlight!

by TripsyGipsy on February 23, 2017

Jaipur - and in particular the Jai Mahal Palace - were the highlights of our recent India trip. As usual the Taj service was faultless. We had an issue with one of our rooms but this was sorted out immediately. We were also fortunate enough to witness an Indian wedding in the forecourt. Just beautiful!

The Jai Mahal, run by Taj (Tata) is a well situated hotel on expansive grounds. Security is tight and the hotel is an oasis in a bustling city. Lobby and concierge was kind and helpful. The hotel grounds look (and smell) fresh and flower filled. Check is was a lovely experience with flower garlands and fresh juice. The hotel is well soundproofed; we did not hear a single sound despite facing front during a 600 person wedding event. The common areas are lovely and the rooms are well appointed. The only drawbacks were the small bathroom and the lack of a tub. Breakfasts at Marble Arch were good with a mix of Indian and European choices. The restaurant service was attentive if a bit obsequious. Between the servers and management including the chef stopping by we were unable to have an uninterrupted conversation for more than a few minutes. The same level of care dialed back a few notches would be perfect. The evening entertainment options (dance, palm reader, life size chess) were a nice touch without getting away from the privacy and serenity.

though i should have written this review a long time ago but alas i was caught up with some work of mine.i went here way back in the last year along with my friend to this palace.the level of detail was felt so great.i mean, from the welcome with the garlands and the reception the duty manager narendra was very helpful .we went to the poolside restaurant which was lovely, to the breakfast at the main restaurant where aslam, ahirup restaurant manager took good care of us to the last minute taxi arrangements done by alisha.all in all it was a memorable experience .

Lovely hotel. Lovely hotel.

We stayed here for two nights whilst "doing" Jaipur on our journey round Rajasthan. It was the biggest of the 7 hotels we stayed in but did not necessarily feel it. The original building is an old Royal Palace but it has been significantly extended and developed into its present resort status. The style has been maintained however, the rooms we experienced were very sophisticated, colourful and beautifully decorated. The standard of furniture and decor was higher than in other hotels we experienced. Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Without exception they were well trained and the majority of front of house staff spoke good English. Breakfast was very good, wide choice of Indian and European food, beautifully presented and well cooked. We ate dinner one night at the Indian restaurant. It was very nice but expensive. The head waiter was very terse however and clearly wanted us out as soon as we had finished eating- it was only 9pm. I would not recommend eating there. There is a nice bar but drinks are relatively expensive. There was a wedding going on the first night we stayed. It was noisy and colourful and provided us with excellent entertainment!
