Took a dear freind Max to LMB Jaipur. Must say they are making money n r only making money. Not bothered abt the service the Hygine nor the quality of food. The toilets where bad the food was horrible. The waiters n managers had attitude. Never recommend anyone to visit the restaurant.
My wife and I were looking forward to having a traditional Rajasthan Thaali at LMB (30 years old memories of a wonderful meal) The moment we stepped in we realized we had made a mistake, the well appointed restaurant had become a gradually fraying sad place. The restaurant was lacksedical, the waiters a bit tardy and the food was nothing to write home about. Founded in the 1700's LMB is not a restaurant, it is an institution. Though its not my place to say so, the management should wake up and restore the old glory of the place.
This is was my third time to this place, though it has failed to impress me on my previous visits this Time it turned out to be disastrous!!! I stopped by to have a quick bite before I start my journey back to agra, I quickly ordered a Raj Kachori which looked uninviting from the beginning. Well it tasted even worse!! Bad preparation, too spicy, and to top it all the curd was warm. Have never come across a chaat item with warm curd!! Stay away!! Highly overrated!!
Famous landmark in Jaipur but i found this way too expensive. Place is easily located on main street and should be on bucket list when in jaipur. Dahi bhalla and ghevar is is their speciality and should be tried once.
The LMB sweet shop is really nice with its kachoris and badam milk not to be missed. We also had kesar Sandesh, petha, Ras malai. All very good specialities of Rajasthan. The service and staff also is nice. The food is all freshly prepared so it is hygienic.
