Mamta from Jaipur, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 1/5 Service Quality: 1/5 Dining Quality: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5

It was not a hotel but a dingy dark house. Not at all suitable for females. Dirty rooms & bathrooms , two rooms with same numbers, strange paintings . Overall a very bad experience we checked out within 3 hrs of checking in. Hope Travelguru will be kind enough to refund our monies. No powerbackup in the rooms. Travelguru should remove this from your site.

Fascinating Place - probably better suited to more spritely travellers Fascinating Place - probably better suited to more spritely travellers

Excellent value for money - large bed, spacious room and O.K. WiFi. A fascinating warren of staircases, gardens and long corridors with surprises at every turn. 62 steps up to the rooftop Restaurant, caged in to deter the monkeys, but refreshments can be served in nooks and gardens. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but there are some communication problems...

Enchanting Indian Palace in Old City of Jaipur Enchanting Indian Palace in Old City of Jaipur

by Nellii M on March 18, 2017

I loved my stay at Rawla Mrignayani Palace. I felt as though I stepped into another world and felt as though I was truly in India as I imagined it would be. Sitting on my terrace eating breakfast while monkeys played and visited was enchanting to a westerner straight off the plane. Staff were so friendly and made me feel safe and comfortable. As a solo female traveller I felt welcomed and safety is important to me and I always felt secure here. I loved the cooking and meals can be taken on numerous terraces at the property. Each area has its own charm and I am a repeat visitor, with every room I have stayed in having a real Indian flavour. From the terraces on the rooftop views over Jaipur are spectacular and views to the fort a perfect backdrop for sunrise and sunset photo opportunities. Situated inside the walls of the old Pink City one can walk to all attractions, cafes, restaurants, shopping bazaars. Jaipur is a wonderful chaotic city and the Rawla is a sanctuary from the noise and chaos of Jaipur. Situated off the road it is quiet and safe. Tuk tuks can be arranged for you by the staff and the chef/cook makes great food and excellent curries. All the staff are so helpful and friendly making this my home whenever I visit Jaipur. I love sitting on the terraces at night enjoying the sounds of Jaipur around me and feeling the true essence of India in the heritage Rawla Mrignayani. Great place to stay in Jaipur where one feels the history of Rajasthan all around you. One of my favourite place in India to visit. Straight out of a movie .

2nd visit to the hotel, Slightly Disappointed 2nd visit to the hotel, Slightly Disappointed

by godspeed4476 on March 13, 2017

Booked this hotel for the 2nd time, as my previous stay was quite wonderful there. Was a bit disapointed this time around, I was first shown the rooms, which are not maintained quite well this happened even though they knew i was a repeat customer. When i asked for my preivous room, it was provided to me. The new room was quite good. The 2nd issue, which really bothered me was a little racist attitude towards me. I wasn't allowed to have beers in the hotel restaurant, and neither was allowed to bring up my friends to my place. They said that this is a hotel policy and also mentioned in the reception. When i pointed out that other guests from abroad were doing the same thing, the guy at the reception (night duty) flatly told me that since they are foreigners, they can do whatever they want. This double standard was a bit surprising. I would have left just one star, however, the room was quite nice, and the other staff from day duty were good as well.

Bawaris and then some... Bawaris and then some...

by Rebecca G on March 10, 2017

Intended to stay only a few nights, it extended to six! Great room (the bed made me want to stay longer!) and hospitality. The breakfast was a great start to the day and the hotel (Ali...) organised a great driver (Abdul Hakim - rajasthan discovery tour) who took me through my list of Jaipur bawaris (stepwells) and surrounding sites. Not the conventional visit but all were accommodating to making my time in Jaipur a 'dream' stay.

Average Hotel with poor service quality Average Hotel with poor service quality

Hotel is like Haveli, so you may find interesting old patterned furnishings and stays. Owners are good. But very limited staff and very poor service. After check out, we need to stay back for around 20-25 minutes for payments. No intercom or any other means to call staff. Overall average hotel for stay. Not very great.

by JakubSykora on May 21, 2016

Demo Trip Try to secure a room on the first floor. The rooms at the back are not that good and have a lot of surrounding noise in the morning.

by Pratosh on March 17, 2016

Demo Trip The rooms downstairs are cheaper but the heritage suites looking onto the terrace are much prettier.
