Heritage view!!! Awesome experience!!! Heritage view!!! Awesome experience!!!

Saba Haveli has a magnificent look in the Jaipur city. While coming from Delhi, we decided to stay at this Hotel. The entrance is marvellous, as we entered the Hotel it gives a feel of royal Indian heritage. The Haveli is over 250 years old as told by the owner but it is perfectly well kept and maintained. We stayed in a room, which was so beautiful, it had beautiful design, architecture and the bathroom was huge in size. The food which we had in this Hotel was simply out of the world. It had plethora of options to choose from. The dishes were simply mouth watering. We enjoyed every bit of it. The rooftop restaurant was a cherry on the cake, it had the whole view of Jaipur city. The heritage look of the Haveli is the main attraction for tourists. The owner of the Haveli and their family were very courteous. The staff was really helpful. In all, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip at this Haveli.

It's What's Inside That Counts! It's What's Inside That Counts!

The Saba Haveli is tucked away on a side street near a gate to the old city. The exterior is not a good first impression, however once you immerse into the atmosphere of historic relevance, the place assumes a whole new aura. The common areas are welcoming and refined, even though refurbishing is still underway. The rooms however, are the real treat, as you sense a throwback to a different era. The well-appointed sleeping spaces could very well house a member of the royal family - and the amenities are luxurious. The food is exquisite, and be sure to as for the rooftop dinner. Also, a vantage point from the roof is a perfect place to experience the setting sun,...and the ritual that happens afterwards. In Jaipur the winds pick up and kids of all ages take to the rooftops to fly kites. The skies are littered with simple paper objects attached to strings, which seems a fitting compliment to the evening call to prayer amplified throughout the city. Saba Haveli is a definite 'must do' for Jaipur!

Historic traditional hotel with delicious food Historic traditional hotel with delicious food

We were given two connecting palatial rooms on third floor. No elevator but we did not mind. The building is 270 years old and does not look like much from outside. The rooms with their traditional Mughal inspired furniture doors and marble work are the prize. The food was modestly priced (dinner $17 per person with drinks). Breakfast included in our room price. Ask to dine on the roof for dinner. Great service. Watching the lights and fireworks over Jaipur (we visited after Diwali) was spectacular. There was no room safe or hair dryer in room but we did not care.

A wonderful stay! A wonderful stay!

Ignore the approach to this property as it doesn't appear to be in the most attractive of areas. However, as soon as we entered the building we were smitten. We were given a very warm welcome and when we were shown our room, we were completely 'wowed'. It was lovely with a bed that must have been about 8 feet wide! The room was really spacious and I felt I never wanted to leave it. It was decorated and furnished like something from Arabian Nights and was really comfortable. A little tip - don't leave any windows open otherwise the monkeys will get in (they did one day whilst we were out)! Also the bathroom was huge with great lighting and a wonderful tub. We ate in the Haveli on our first evening and the food was delicious as was the breakfast. The owner was very friendly and showed us his beautiful quiet garden which is opposite the house. We would highly recommend choosing this hotel as a place to stay in Jaipur.

Fantastic stay in beautiful Haveli with Holi festival on top Fantastic stay in beautiful Haveli with Holi festival on top

This Haveli is situated in a relatively quiet area of Jaipur. The owner, Sanjay Rai and his family live in the big haveli, and he and his staff are extremely kind and helpful. the rooms are big and comfortable. We were there during the Holi Festival and the family more or less accepted us as 'one of them', so we could really participate in this important event. we had a great time! Thank you mr. Rai.
