Savista is a private countryhouse and is still under construction, with bushy growth all around. It is 30 km outside city with no proper road access. The place runs solely on gensets which are shut off at night making it extremely dangerous in case of emergency. Room is badly furnished, no room service, not even a calling bell for any need. There's no dining options, only fixed menu sparse breakfast dinner served in a hostel type dining room at the far end of the place. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel.

The nature and enviroment near the hotel is very nice. Rooms were decent with very good interiors. The food was very good in taste and the service was very quick and prompt of the staffs. It is highly recommedable.

A true Gem in Jaipur A true Gem in Jaipur

Savista Retreat is a very special homestay/retreat/boutique hotel, run by a very special couple who will make you feel like you are staying with family. All rooms have their own theme and are designed with a lot of love and attention to detail. The property is surrounded by lush gardens and open countryside, giving you a feeling of peace and serenity after a day in hectic Jaipur. Highly recommended: dinner by the chimney. We didn't want to leave!

A bright and colorful heritage property. Away from Jaipur in the countryside but close enough if you decide to go and visit the city. So calm and green after the chaotic drive and noise on the roads. Warm welcome by the owners who stay on property and open the doors of their home to us but also happy to let their team take care of your stay. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated & overlooking the greenery of the garden. Just didn't want to leave for 2 days. Without asking, we were served dinner at 2 different places in order to enjoy different experiences. That shows a lot of flexibility. No TV in the rooms but there is room on property with a home cinema facility. Library, game room. I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of this charming hotel and its vibe. Very well maintained property.

Savista Retreat Hotel Set outside Jaipur city this hotel has a very friendly and helpful approach to all visitors by its staff. Set off the beaten track it has good facilities - pool, tennis and gym/sauna. Rooms are all themed with furniture and decor. The is no tv but a communal screen/DVD player is available. The hotel boosts its contribution to environmental issues and uses its own water from a deep well. Didn't get time to eat there but we're given a packed breakfast when we left early for our train

Lovely hotel in beautiful peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur, with a great ethos to help the local community and care for the environment. We always received a warm welcome whatever the time of day. If it wasn't for our busy schedule it would have been good to spend some time relaxing in its surroundings.

The Savista Retreat website and photos do not do this place justice. It is so much more. We were charmed immediately upon our arrival at the Savista Retreat. The property, the rooms, the warm reception by the hosts, the earnest and lovely staff members... We feel in love and immediately knew that our two night stay would be too short. There is magic in this place and there are many, many stories to be told. For example, the one about how our host couple, Bhanwar and Radhika, personally and lovingly restored the historic family hunting lodge over the course of several years, using ancient artisan techniques and tools. Or the story of the ecological commitment that was made throughout, from renovation decisions through all current operations of the property. And the story of how Bhanwar and Radhika are using their hotel as a training ground for young locals to learn about the hospitality trade. Oh, and how most fruits and vegetables served at breakfast or dinner have been grown organically on the property. And... Well, you will need to sit down with these gracious hosts and have them share all of it. The knowledge imparted by Radhika about Indian culture was precious and helped us truly appreciate and better experience this incredible country. The property is beautiful and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast are served in a nearby building, Hibiscus Court. We loved the candlelight dinner by the fireplace and the breakfast outside in the courtyard. Among other services, Savista will arrange for local drivers, tour guides and workshops. Through their recommendation, we experienced a fantastic block printing workshop, one of the most memorable activities of our three week trip to India. Pretty amazing place.

Demo Trip All the rooms are spacious, the rooms on the bottom floor are spacious.

Demo Trip All of the rooms I saw were lovely - plain but tastefully furnished. The ground floor rooms are larger, with their own sitting rooms attached. The setting of the retreat is a beautiful, calm, rural setting, with lovely established gardens.

by Sheryl V on November 17, 2014

Demo Trip I would choose a room on the outside of the building. It could be a bit echoey and noisy in the inner courtyard if there were a lot of guests.
