Shahpura House - Jaipur

Stunning place. The interiors are beautifully designed to make you feel like you’re in a palace. High end materials and intricate art pieces adorn the walls. While we were exploring old forts and looking into the history of how royals lived this hotel was a perfect addition to get an experience of it ourselves.

Excellent one night stay at this heritage hotel. We were at awe the moment we enter the hotel. At every turn was a stunting deco and photo opportunity. While some of the facilities were a little dated and worn, it's still well maintained and that's the charm of a heritage hotel. The location was good with easy access to for calling uber rides.

Coming from a nearby hotel, we were expecting a somewhat classy restaurant and were very disappointed by a closed and very noisy room, no table cloths no napkins ( just tissue) . Food is correct but no more and hotel seems to welcome large groups which makes the restaurant even more noisy , to a point it was uncomfortable. We didn’t see the rooms but the various sitting rooms and 19th century lavish decoration are nice, with a swimming pool in the garden. It is a pity that the rooftop is not used as a more upscale restaurant.

I stayed in three towns and therefore three different hotels. This was our last stop, and I’m so glad it wasn’t our first! The hotel is so beautiful, and the rooms so nice and spacious. The other hotels couldn’t compare. Staff were also so kind and accommodating. If I do travel back to Jaipur I will stay here again. I felt like a princess!

The hotel building and interior are without doubt beautiful but the hotel does not live up to 5 stars for food or service. The breakfast choice was really poor - I have had far better in 3 star hotels in India. There was one cook making omelettes and a large queue each day. The 2 coffee machines needed emptying regularly and there were no cups most of the time. A number of the few buffet items had run out and were not restocked for quite a while. The rooms were not clean and we had to ask someone to come and clean ours. There were 5 very faded thread-bare towels for the 8 sunbeds around the pool. The staff were friendly however and the bar was pleasant
