This is an excellent hotel and I would like to visit it again and recommend to my friends. My only suggestion is that a route map can be provided for easy access to the hotel.

I stayed for a night in a room at the top of the building with balconies and even a separate room for washing clothes. This room could also be made into a kitchen for long stay guests. The marble flooring is immaculate as this suite is newly built. It should have more fans, but one had been removed and one was not working, this made it a bit hot. The open roof top restaurant is fine and their prices are very good.uld have more fans, but one had been removed and one was not working, this made it a bit hot. Umaid is a wonderful Palace, and I think enough has been said about it already. Establishing that once again, I want to move on and thank Tanishka specially for her great service! She was my butler during my wedding at the Palace, and she made my life SO much easier. As a bride you are going through a lot of emotions- good, bad and ugly, greeting everyone who is there to bless you, and constantly hustling from one event to the other (which is not easy at all); it's too much going on simultaneously....and I do not think I would have done it so peacefully and gracefully without Tanishka's constant presence by my side. She's been a rock for me at my wedding and I will never forget that. She is one of the most caring people I've met and also one of the most hands-on hotel employees I have met. I hope to see her next time I'm in Umaid, hopefully for my first anniversary. Thank you Tanishka, Brijesh and the entire Umaid team for everything they have provided me with. I'm full of gratitude as I am writing this review. Love, M Eadala

Beautiful heritage hotel Beautiful heritage hotel

by solotrek on March 22, 2017

This is a beautiful heritage hotel with well-priced and fitted rooms. The halls are filled with character with photos and artifacts adorning walls, corridors and tables throughout giving you plenty to explore on the way to and from your room or when relaxing in one of the many common sitting areas. The rooftop restaurant has good food albeit with a little hit and miss action on service. The cultural show in the restaurant each night was a highlight with beautiful music and skilled dancers capturing your imagination. Our check in and out experience were a little average it has to be said. The specific request of a room not facing the road had not been considered despite the booking being made more than 4 months prior. Bed preferences also already indicated on the booking had to be repeatedly answered and had not been noted. That being said, efforts were made to correct this and we were then given a choice and view of 3 rooms albeit all facing the road. Check out was unfortunately not the best either. Waiting patiently for the desk attendant to acknowledge we were standing at the counter and to ask if he could help wasn't a winning angle here as he could not have been less interested in serving us. When he did take a minute to talk with us he chose to stop repeatedly without warning and serve others or take calls while we were in mid-sentence and generally was dismissive to any question posed. The advice and timing he gave for our required departure time to the airport was incorrect and I would have to say that this was because he simply wasn't paying attention at all to the flight details we gave. We would stay again despite the hiccups. This is a beautiful hotel.

a Great heritage hotel a Great heritage hotel

by sarabarcelo9 on March 21, 2017

The premises are beautiful and very well cared for. The hotel has very nice and comfortable rooms with good indian forniture and good designs. The walls inside and outside the rooms carry beautiful paintings and it has many little corners and patios to sit and rest.I also enjoy their food very much and the service is good. Everybody is there to help you, give you information and solve your problems. Location is also good, quite central but not in the noise and bustle of the old city. It is at the end of a no way allei, so it is reasonabily quite ( for India ). I certainly come back to this hotel every year and expect to keep on doing so in the future. I do recomend it, you will not regret it.

Quiet location and beautiful decor! Quiet location and beautiful decor!

by Jeremy H on March 21, 2017

Was a delight to stay in this hotel. Lovely decor and an excellent breakfast with different choices each day. The on site restaurant was great for dinner as well with reasonably priced food. Location was a reasonable distance from the sights of Jaipur, but not too far, especially if you have a driver. Overall good choice if you want something out of the ordinary!
