Jiten from Jaisalmer, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 5/5 Service Quality: 4/5 Dining Quality: 3/5 Cleanliness: 5/5

The positives: Very good rooms, A/C, TV, bathrooms. Very good restaurant for breakfast. Very good swimming pool. Good TT and snooker Food quality is good. Good wi-fi but password change required every 2 hours. Not so positives: Very expensive food. A meal for 2 adults/2 kids is 1000/- min. 1 litre bottle of bisleri is 92/- incl taxes No place closeby to go and eat, need to drive to the city. Reception desk is managed with 2 ppl who r busy most of the time with guests. Try considering : If you are planning 2 nights in jaisalmer then you can stay one night in palace and one night in village. Village is well made but it can get chilly in the night so carry enough woolens in winter. Be warned: When you are buying the choki dhani village dinner and cultural program option, you get 1 km camel ride free from hotel to the beginning of the sand dunes. After that the camel guy will ask you to get down or pay, by saying that the hotel package covers only 1km. Post that he will try and fleece you for 1000/- per camel. Better negotiate at the hotel itself since the camel ride will definitely take you for a 'ride'. even the hotel manager will look the other way if you complain, saying that it is your responsibility to negotiate with the camel owners. My suggestion : Try and pay 250/- per camel to continue the ride for 1 more km. 2. Dont buy camel skin hats - they start stinking with the sweat. 3. Dont go visiting the lake, it is fully a waste of time. 4. Glass/pots made of fossil stone are famous in jaisalmer. They claim that if you keep JUST milk overnight, without mixing with the curd, it turns into curd the next day. Worth a try. Have a good stay!

For most of us Chokhi Dhani is synonymous to old rajasthani culture and hospitality. This place is neither of the two. From outside it appears to be a big building, but from inside it's very mediocre kind of hotel which is terribly over-priced. In case planning to visit Jaisalmer, rather book a property next to desert (I would recommend tents) than such an unworthy property.

I highly recommend to stay here in Chokhi Dhani's The Palace hotel Jaisalmer I highly recommend to stay here in Chokhi Dhani's The Palace hotel Jaisalmer

Really amazing experience. Hotel was Royal.. spacious ..luxurious... Rooms BIG.. Swimming pool nice.. It had all the five star luxury.. The first thing that you feel here is the warm staff, they made my stay extremely comfortable and attended to all my requests. It resembles old time forts and is grand by appearance. You are treated like a royal guest here and it is rajasthan's hospitality at its best. I highly recommend to stay here in Jaisalmer as they will assist with all your needs to make your trip the best of a lifetime!!!! Looking forward to returning soon! Well done Chokhi Dhani Jaisalmer . #Thanks

we stayed as a family with my aged parents and 6yr kid and wife. it was awesome as we even enjoyed the swimming pool. service was good. the Manager was so cooperative, he gave us early checkin, he offered us to have dinner for one of evenings in their Chokhi Dhani Desert camp. this gesture is welcome. we truly enjoyed our stay. we had MAP so breakfast and dinner was good. since there were no Rajasthani (local) food served, i was slightly dissapointed. an external kids lay area with swings would have made our stay more enjoyable. but that doesnt take away anything as i would come back and recommend staying in this hotel next time too.

Hi, I am a traveler to most historical places , fortunately I visited Jaisalmer and stayed of the best hotel. They are honing you the Royal touch with local tradition and the theme is to carry ethnic culture in current modern era. No other words to say apart from fabulous.

Interesting place to stay, with a few adjustments Interesting place to stay, with a few adjustments

Received a warm welcome with cold sharbet on arrival, although this hotel is located just outside the city, it is very convenient to travel as Jaisalmer is a very small town. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, The staff is really gentle and helpful. The Hotel looks quite bigger than it actually is in photographs, It's a ground + 1 hotel with the dining space right in the middle of all the rooms. The food quality is good but A la Carte orders do take a lot of time to be served (we waited for more than an hour for the order to be served) hence I would recommend having food in hotels around the fort area (highly recommend Kabab Corner near Jaisalmer fort or Cafe the Kaku near Patwon ki haveli for food). I stayed at multiple places during my visit to Jaisalmer and would rate this hotel the second best after Fort Rajwada. I would suggest to avoid the rooms right next to the dining area as there was lot of noise because of kids playing and people gathering for dinner. if travelling with members who do not have problems climbing stairs I would recommend having rooms on the first floor or away from the dining area located at the centre.
