Cannot rate highly enough! The rooms, people and location is incredible!! Second time staying here and it just gets better. The people who work there really set it apart from the other guest houses in the fort! Would recommend to anyone. Definitely do the camel safari through them too, incredible experience with fantastic company of the local people!
Desert boys was a dream. They pick you up right from the train station and Hemat the driver is the man. All the staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. You absolutely have to do the desert camel trips with them! They provide beds, blankets, beers and a fire surrounded with good people and music. Rooms were clean and spacious with good views. 10/10 would come again
It was our family vacation and first trip to Jaisalmer. I made the online booking for Dessert Boys which turned out to be quite comfortable and peaceful. The owners and the staff is very sweet and friendly and the food is a perfect home cooked food which anyone would like to prefer during vacation. Though the hotel is quite small but completely filled with artifacts. The USP of the hotel is its location which is right inside the fort surrounded by other old havelis, colourful markets, cosy & open cafes, book shops and beautiful temples. We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. We will surely stay here in our next visit.
i've dropped by for drinks and wish i'd stayed here as the price is very affordable given all the beautiful set up avail in this mini paradise, you couldn't tell from that small entrance but inside the court yard is so beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. The property itself is over hundreds years old but it has been well maintained so you don't feel the inconvenience that some old properties could have.
We stayed with our 3 kids at desert boys guest house during Christmas. We enjoyed every bit of our stay in this wonderful place. The guest house is located inside the old city, only accessible by foot or motorcycle. Start with the rooms: they are richly decorated with traditional carpets and furniture, beautiful pictures on the wall. You feel like you travelled back in time and landed in a silk road rich merchant's house. There are several balconies in the building which allow you to get a good view over the lower city. The restaurant has a wide range of delicious rajasthani veg and non veg food. The restaurant is located at the top of the building with great views over the city. The restaurant staff is super friendly and they play fantastic music (ask to listen to the Vani, beautiful hindu religious songs). The owner of the guest house, Papu, is a wonderful host: he spent time with us organising a great camel safari in the desert and listened to our needs throughout the duration of our stay.
