wishing to visit once again
Its gonna be a cool bet, if you decide to stay at Rang Mahal in Jaiselmer. The sprawling property with pool and other facilities were unimaginable.
We were given the tent accomodation for the first day despite having booked the room, and we were told the quality is the same, despite no A/c in tent. But the facts are different. There is no phone service to the tent, therefore we had to always walk to the hotel counter to request for anything required, including room service and house keeping. The bathroom in the tent has only lukewarm water, and no privacy in the bathroom/toilet, since they are separated from the main space of the tent.the hotel counter to request for anything required, including room service and house keeping. The price for room was reasonable for three nights. Room was very comfortable and clear. Hospitality of hotel was very good.
We stay'd here for 2 nights during our Rajasthan trip. Room was basic and fine. Room service was poor, staffs were having careless attitude. Otherwise location and the other things were fine.

This was one place we booked after reading reviews and happy we booked our stay with them. Convenient location to stay if you want to visit the fort and sam sand dunes. Spacious rooms, professionally run hotel, not luxurious but comfortable. They have folk music and dance performance in the evenings at dinner time which was organised in an open lawn and was pleasant as well as fun. Parking available for cars. They do not provide iron in rooms but have laundry service. In all value for money.
Built like a Fort this is a nice hotel . The staff is friendly and the buffet spread is good. There is a nice cultural program that happens in their Lawns. Though maintaining such a large property is cumbersome and there were some small glitches , but one can live with them provided you get a better deal. It's located away from the city.
Rang Mahal is one of the oldest and finest hotel in Jaisalmer. It's a sprawling property with great ambience. The front office staff and management are peerless. The pool is beautiful. Winter evenings are cozy and warm sitting by the bonfire in the courtyard. Watching the traditional folk dancers, listening to the musicians and dancing and making merry with them has been a fun and happy experience. Food is delicious with an awesome F&B dept and house keeping. All the best to the Rang Mahal team and may they continue their awesome services in the future as well. The property is no doubt beautiful based on Rajasthani fort theme. Rooms are comfortable, evening cultural program was good and pool is of decent size. The only negative is their food. The food is more catered for foreign tourist, the taste is not upto the mark for the amount being charged.
We stayed here for 2 nights last week. We were surprised to see the grandeur of the hotel. We were welcomed with welcome drink, garlands and tika, which i found very sweet. The room was spacious and well equipped. The room service was prompt. The breakfast menu was elbaorate and nice. However, i felt it was a little bland in taste.Overall amazing experience. Worth every money spent !
