Jasmin Haveli is a newly built hotel styled in the form of a haveli. The rooms are excellent, though a bit small for the cost. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The location is a bit iffy and you might be able to find better options inside the fort (with a better view). The staff is courteous and well mannered and always ready to help. Overall we came out very satisfied, though the cost might be on the higher side. This might be understandable considering these folks have to make all the money during the winter to make up for the the lean summer.

We stayed for one night in this Hotel. Its a great place. the rooms are spacious and neatly done, very clean and with contemporary yet traditional rajasthani decor. The rooftop restaurant is a great but only in the mornings and the evenings as there is no roof. The only problem with this place is its a tad far off from the main town. by walk it takes arnd 25 mins and the auto charges you 50Rs. The problem is not to get to this place. The problem is to get out of the place as you have to walk arnd 2kms to reach the auto point.

The rooms are very clean and well furnished. The hotel is built in a authentic old rajasthani haveli style and very well proves as the first point of your tour itself. View of fort from the roof is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. If I go to Jaisalmer again then this has to be the place.

Above and beyond expectations Above and beyond expectations

This hotel is really well managed. The rooms have a Moroccan-Indian mix that I loved. The staff picks up all guests at the train station despite the late hour and drops you off. They are all kind and warm, particularly Jatindra. I had no reservation, was intending on staying 2 nights, and ended up staying 4. I was here during the devaluation of the rupee and the staff were willing to lend guests cash to help out. That is only one example of the extra mile service regularly exhibited at this hotel. The location for me was great as its a short walk from the city but they offer free drop off services daily, although I often enjoyed the short walk. Food at the restaurant was also excellent. Overall I loved it.

Excellent hotel and camel safari Excellent hotel and camel safari

Highly recommended. On the edge of town with stunning views back to the fort. The bedrooms are really tasteful, comfortable. The food and service was very good. The hotel organised us a very good guide of the city. They also took us into town in their jeep. All the staff were excellent - we even had good night biscuits. We did the jasmine camel safari which was excellent. Just my husband and I riding the camels on the sand dunes and then dinner under the stars. The camel team and driver were really friendly.

We stayed here for a night and met the excellent owners of the hotel. They were very kind and made us feel very welcome. Our daughter thought the the lady of the house was wonderful and she showed great affection. Our room was excellent and they kindly provided us with a cot for our little son which was of good quality. We would highly recommend this place for a young family.

Perfect service Perfect service

We stayed 2 nights at this family run hotel and were incredibly happy with the experience. The room was beautiful and the rooftop restaurant has great views of the fort. However, the best bit was the service. Jitendra was very responsive over email and arranged to pick us up and drop us off at the train station. His driver also drove us to the fort in the morning (5min drive, 20min walk). Jitendra used to work as a camel safari guide and so arranged a great desert tour for us as well. They also prepared a meal for us to take on our overnight train, which was delicious! Overall we would highly recommend the hotel.

Simply stunning Simply stunning

This is a gem of a hotel with large spacious stunning rooms with lots of authentic local sandstone carving and textile crafts that have been woven into the interior design. By far the best hotel we stayed at in India and real value for the price. We were offered the warmest of welcomes upon arrival by our host and immediately felt at home. There's a real focus on exceptional but not over bearing service here, with so many little touches to make the stay special. We particularly liked the warm home baked cookies before bedtime. The food in the restaurant was incredible and all the staff were very attentive. The hotel is very close to but outside the old town but this is a real plus, as it allows you to have a retreat from the hectic centre in a calmer location alongside some other more upmarket hotels. We also went on the in house camel safari which was exceptional and an experience of a lifetime. All in all a fantastic find.
