Jasmin Haveli is a newly built hotel styled in the form of a haveli. The rooms are excellent, though a bit small for the cost. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The location is a bit iffy and you might be able to find better options inside the fort (with a better view). The staff is courteous and well mannered and always ready to help. Overall we came out very satisfied, though the cost might be on the higher side. This might be understandable considering these folks have to make all the money during the winter to make up for the the lean summer.

We stayed for one night in this Hotel. Its a great place. the rooms are spacious and neatly done, very clean and with contemporary yet traditional rajasthani decor. The rooftop restaurant is a great but only in the mornings and the evenings as there is no roof. The only problem with this place is its a tad far off from the main town. by walk it takes arnd 25 mins and the auto charges you 50Rs. The problem is not to get to this place. The problem is to get out of the place as you have to walk arnd 2kms to reach the auto point.

The rooms are very clean and well furnished. The hotel is built in a authentic old rajasthani haveli style and very well proves as the first point of your tour itself. View of fort from the roof is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. If I go to Jaisalmer again then this has to be the place.

I had messed around Jitendra, the owner of this hotel, about our arrival with a series of confusing garbled emails. Despite this incredibly the complimentary Jeep was there to collect us off the midnight train. The following day Jitendra introduced himself and asked us if we required any guides or trips. We asked for a guide to the fort. We sat with his family in the reception and discussed some of the politics in India over Chai, and were made to feel genuinely at home His cousin/brother gave us an excellent tour of the fort and its back streets (he lives there with his family) and we sat on the rooftop terrace of his small hotel, and drank chai with wonderful views of the city. All for a fraction of the guide cost on Trip Advisor. (Just cut out the embroidery shop please) The following day Jitendra informed us of a short cut to the lake where we undertook a leisurely stroll. In the afternoon Jitendra organised a desert camel ride which was an experience we will ever forget. We met Kamal, the local Camel guide, who drove us into the desert for a 11/2hr camel ride. It felt like we had the whole desert to ourselves. He then cooked us a meal in the sand , chapattis and all, and even provided Indian Rum. As darkness descended we gazed at a prefect sky full of stars and sang songs around the camp fire. The drive back in the dark through the desert with Kamal was exhilarating, again we sang songs. Late that night we decided to travel by car to Jodhpur. Jitendra arranged a car and it collected us the following morning at 8.30. Jitendra is obviously proud of his hotel, it is named after his daughter. It is clean and well maintained and he understands his guests needs. We were made to feel at home throughout or stay. Having stayed in a range of hotels from 5* to home stays, in 1 month travelling in India, this was one of the best. The personalised service was excellent. Should we ever return to this city I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Nice rooms, great staff, fantastic food! Nice rooms, great staff, fantastic food!

Once we stepped inside Jasmin Home, it was exactly what we had hoped for - a small hotel with modern and clean rooms. This place proves that one does not need to check in to a 5 star hotel in order to receive impeccable service, good food and squeaky clean rooms. We liked how every member of the staff demonstrated a commitment to delighting their guests in every possible manner right from helping with bags and offering a hot welcome drink to quickly driving 3 kilometers away from the hotel when we forgot a charger in the room after check out. They even offered a complimentary packed meal at checkout when we mentioned the all day drive we were going to undertake that day. The restaurant serves simple vegetarian yet brilliant tasting food, I could not fault anything we ate throughout our 3 night stay. Breakfast is not a buffet but you can order anything from the a la carte menu which is even better than a buffet. Dev in the kitchen was always very attentive to our needs as well as that of our 3 year old. The owner himself is a polished businessman who knows how to delight customers, does not try to push guests into any tours, safaris etc but is happy to share some very helpful tips on what order to visit places, where to eat/ shop, where to get the best view from or other options for visiting the dunes etc. even if you choose to not go through them. As an Indian person, I feel that hotels across the country generally lack genuine customer service but places like Jasmin home prove me wrong and I am very happy they do so!

Feels like home! Feels like home!

We entered into a small reception which was decorated with great taste. The owner was very welcoming! We were allocated the room but we wanted to add one more bed and our request was immediately honoured. We were also suggested a hot tulsi tea as it was very cold in January. We went to the room and our mood was upbeat in a shot. The room was clean, well furnished and vibrant bright colours of (for Rajasthan is famous) furnishing was adding the to comfort and joy one feels at home. It felt very warm and cosy!!! Though it looked like a small guest house but it had all a five-star facilities surprisingly. Next came the food. The cook was a very sweet young Bengali gentleman and the food was fresh, tasty and very home like. It was pure veg place with only eggs in non-vegetarian section :) Well one has to cater to the foreigners as well. All cuisines were available to from healthy to elaborate meals. Most importantly, it was safe. I will recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a nice, clean and safe place in Jaisalmer!

Jasmin Home was such a wonderful surprise. After many nights of very budget accommodations this was truly our oasis. The host was so gracious, the property was the best and his employees were superlative in handling our requests.

Demo Trip Rooms at the back of the home are the best. I would choose this Haveli again. A live in owner is the best of both worlds for a traveler.
