Very nice camp. Enjoyed a lot at the night camp. Dinner was excellent. Cooperative people in the resort. The cultural programme was excellent. The performers were excellent. The place is enjoyable. It is near to the sand dunes.
We opted for dinner and cultural event in the resort. It is right opposite to dunes. We did the dessert safari and it was worth it. Its a 45-60 mins ride and it was awesome. Food quality is not that great. Overall a great place for you to be in evening. We stayed in the city and visited only for the evening.
Ensure you get confirmation that they will provide a tent to you and not a cottage. 1 week before the travel they changed our booking to a cottage and that too made us pay for 3 cottage for two families. We didnt use one of them as two cottage were enough. We were told cottage are better than tent, when we went we did saw there were good cottages within the periphery of tent area, what we were provided was outside. Secondly, hygiene was below standard, brown dusty towels were provided. The most annoying part was they will invite guests for the dance and dinner program, they dont stay, so it is so crowded you end up struggling for a place to sit and dine. Coming to camel safari, they took us to a certain distance and then said if we want to go to Thar National Park at additional price, we believed them and they just took us some distance and there was no national park to be seen. Beware of these Thugs. Coming to cultural program, it was a waste of time, not that great in midst of crowded place. So, following is my suggestion before you kk resort. 1) Confirm that you get a good Swiss Tent in writing. 2) check whether there will be other evening guests in addition to night stay guests. 3) better stay in Jaisalmer city and come to sand dunes at 4 and leave by night. Over night stay will leave you frustrated because of quality they have maintained.
Location is perfect, sand dunes are just outside the camp across the road, KK Resort team has the experience of hosting guests for a long time now, we stayed there for 2 nights, we were a group of 10 people, visited Sam sand dunes for first time, It's a perfect camp setting, spacious and clean rooms, good food and caring staff, Mukesh, Neeraj, Suraj Ji, Anand ji and Dilip Ji made it extremely comfortable, although they take utmost care to keep everything ready however, in case of any requirement just let the staff know and they will arrange what you need, Desert safari in 4X4 jeeps is a highlight, however, seeing rising and setting sun is the best part, camp staff also advised us not to pay extra to camel guys (who take you around on sand dunes), but we felt tourist season is the only time these guys earn so you may want to give something as tip and that is fine.. :) and yes internet connection inside rooms is really poor, so do not depend or expect that.. Have great time
The service is good. The festive charm of the place is enormous. The dessert is just outside the resort. Anand Singh Sodha is the man you need to help you with everything. The dance and folk songs lights up that ticklish to join in.
