Mixed feelings Mixed feelings

To conclude our Rajasthan tour we had booked tents at this Camp. We reached there in the night at 8 pm. At the outset there was a confusion on the number of tents. We had booked 7 and got 5. With difficulty and some time things got sorted out, thanks to a staff named Alladin (don't laugh) we managed to get all 7, albeit not in a row. The tents were average unlike the Swiss type we were expecting. There was a small veiled porch followed by a double bed, and a canvas door leading to a bath. Maybe we had run our expectations too high but overall looked a bit run down. It was quite cold but we were provided with a blanket. We needed much more! Blaring music and some local belles dancing could not raise our spirits much. Dinner was average and the night was a bit uncomfortable. Hot water is available only from 7-10 am. A bit of a dusty bathroom it was! Breakfast was fairly good but after a mutual decision we decided to cut short our stay in the camp by a day. A word of advice. Do not go there with very high expectations. Overall an average experience which had the potential for great improvement.

Nice stay Nice stay

The place was good , tent was neat and toilet was good. The staff at the dunes were very helpful and very active . Camel safari for sunset and jeep safari for sunrise was excellent. Food was great , dinner was Rajasthani special. We had full masti

Different Experience Different Experience

When you enter the camp area its a very different kind of set up. All the camps are lined up together , in the middle there is a huge circle where in the evening a folk show is performed . The camps are neat . You get an attached bathroom with the camp. We faced one problem . We traveled during January so it was very cold out there . The hot water given to us was of no use because it was not at all hot. Water there is very salty so it is advisable to carry your own mineral water bottles. Apart from that you get complimentary dinner and breakfast which is ok-ok. They can improve the food . The folk dance in the evening was also good . Camel ride is also complimentary for the camp guests.

Good Facility , neat and clear tents , but can be improved in service The property is located around a hour and a half journey from Jaisalmer by Cab and its owner Mr. Alladin is very cordial. He even arranged a cab for up and down trip to Sam on extra charge. Our dessert safari was also one of the best experience. Inside the camp , the tents are big with attached bathrooms which was good. Sam dunes is one of the mail attractions for which one visits Jaisalmer and should ideally be the high point of the trip. Here , I think this camp could have been more innovative and might not be one of the best experience which one expects. The snacks in the evening were not at all upto the mark and the dj system they are using takes more than 20 sec between songs. What mroe , they play the complete song and is managed by someone who does not seem to understand what is the requirement. The food @ night and in the morning was ok and could be improved. All in all , a good experience.

No entertainment! No entertainment!

we came in a hurry driving from Jodhpur for this Limra desert camp assuming that there would be so much fun. But the camp started at 6 PM. They do aarthi and welcome you with expectation of some money. The dancers are lifeless. they hardly have any energy to dance or smile. They dance as they are very tired and havent been fed since ages. But the team is very helpful. Food is just average.Breakfast is good. Camel Ride is available. They delay a lot though.. Jeep ride is also available but expensive. Tents with attached bathroom are safe. But salt water available.
