Comfortable stay Comfortable stay

Royal camp is located very close to Sam sand dunes in Jaisalmer... We stayed in a tent.. of course it wasn't a luxurious tent but yet it was comfortable.. initially I was a bit apprehensive but later my inhibitions vanished.. enjoyed the camel and Jeep safaris in the desert... Mr. Sawai Singh sodha made the trip even more fun by taking us to the desert and asking a couple to cook a scrumptious meal for us on the chulha in the midnight... It was a beautiful experience... Cultural programme was OK.. they should add more dances n puppet show.. only songs made it a monotonous evening.. breakfast was good

Disgusting !!! Worst experience of my life. Most dirty accommodation. .... cottage was filthy ... bed sheets were dirty looking ... the duvet was torn and had cotton spilling out, there was a tv which the attendant said would not work. Layers of dust and dirt. At one point there was no water in the filthy toilet and bathroom..... after complaining they offered to change the room at 10.30pm after being there for 10 hours .... which we did not bother to as we planned to leave first thing in the morning and did not want to repack and unpack.......the whole dessert experience was a lousy one .... it was bitterly cold and raining. The food was horrible unappitising vegetarian food ... cold and tasteless and we had to wait for 20 mins before they replenished the tea container at breakfast time and then served ready made tea which had more sugar than tea in paper cups of 50 ml capacity!!!! As I could not consume it I asked for black coffee with milk separately, they said they did not serve coffee!!!! The manager did not give a damn... Don't know how much this disgusting stay cost as it was a part of an entire package we paid for to visit 5 places in rajasthan in 3 star accommodation.... this one was more like 0 stars.... After all this, while leaving had to give a tip separately to various staff members who we did not want to tip but they kept following us and asking .... when we gave a small amount they made faces and passed comments. WORST STAY OF MY LIFE

Wonderful experience! Wonderful experience!

Our package included a camel ride and sunset in the desert. Since it was a nice sunny day we saw a wonderful sunset. Then we were welcomed in the camp with welcome drinks and seated near a camp fire. Local artists performed songs, dance and kartal. Though the level of expertise is not too high, but is was overall enjoyable. The host once again showed great hospitality skills for which Rajasthan is famous. Food was good with a lot of varieties. Recommendation: Please do not use so much of halogen..we werer unable to have a good look at the beautiful night sky jeweled with bright starts! Tip tp the Traveler: Go to the camp and book your stay get a better deal.

Nice Desert Safari Trip Nice Desert Safari Trip

It was a surprise! Had not expected such cleanliness and comfort in the middle of a desert. We took a cab from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer and further to Sam. The tents, bedding and toilets were very neat. We had a camel ride in the evening to watch the sunset in the dunes and after that had a cultural programme with snacks and drinks in front of Bon Fire followed by a Buffet Dinner. Food was nice and overall experience was really enjoyable. Its worth the cost and experience. Staff was friendly and soft spoken.

We stayed for a night in Royal Desert Camp Jaisalmer. They arranged for camel ride, jeep safari. It was a great experience. Never to miss Desert Safari via Camel and Jeep. Snacks, dinner and the breakfast were good. Enjoyed the night cultural programme and stay at deluxe tents.

Demo Trip The deluxe tents are spacious & comfortable for a family of 3. If you are more than that, do opt for the Super Deluxe. Also do remember to carry good supply of mosquito repellant - there are enough in the tent to keep you awake for the night.
