I very disappointed by most aspects of my night there and it would have been a waste except for the company of 2 friendly dogs. I was the only client that night and I would have expected some attention to detail given the fact. After being told that there were no guest rooms in the main heritage building, because it is the maharajah's residence, I was shown to my "superior room" in an outbuilding. Spartan. There was no bath mat or hand towels in the bathroom, the amenities were poor. No water bottle, no tea making facilities and no telephone to request anything. Worse, my pillows had a nasty whiff of stale tobacco, indicating that smokers had slept there and that they had not been aired. The grounds need attention and they seem to be building a swimming pool. There are in my opinion more urgent priorities in this place and I would not recommend it.
