Initially I got a room that could hardly qualify as a budget hotel room, despite my booking a deluxe room. Later they changed it to another one which was decent. But there is no heritage value in the room architecture too. Its hard to rate this as there isnt any except for water there is hardly any room service available. They dont serve food in the room. It seems as if there are just 7-8 core staff who if are present in the restuarent, there is no one at reception and vice versa. Had a terrible experience on the service at the breakfast too. The staff generally is not at all hospitable and forthcoming. Food is very ordinary here. Unlike in a heritage hotel in Rajasthan where you will expect atleast basic rajasthani or local cuisine but this hotel has only standard punjabi menu. Any rajasthani meal has to be ordered 4 hours in advance which is very strange. The quality of food whatever is there is also bad. So we order food only once and for all subsequent meals we went outside. The hotel is located centrally hence close to most of the tourist attractions. On the whole would not recommened any traveller looking for a heritage or a non-heritage hotel to book this one.

We must have asked about 4 times to fix a malfunctioning TV (for our kids). Each time they said yes sending someone but it never happended. Otherwise it was fine.

The dining options were limited. & Jodhpur being a small city, other options are also not available.

Gagan from Jodhpur, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 1/5 Service Quality: 2/5 Dining Quality: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5

This hotel cannot be called a hotel at all as it seems to a mish-mash of terrible services put together. From the reception clark suffering from conjuctivitis to logged drains in the bathroom, from cold and unhygenic breakfast to non functioning TV remote control, this hotel ranks 1st in my own list of worst places to stay anywhere in the world. It was the last hotel we stayed in during our trip to Rajasthan and it just dented our spirits.

Stayed in many hotels during my recent tour, this was by far the worst. Reception awful Stayed in many hotels during my recent tour, this was by far the worst. Reception awful

We stayed at this hotel for one night during a tour of Northern India. It is very close to the airport so Don't expect a quiet nights sleep. The room was quite large with a separate seating area. There was a smell of drains when we entered the room. As we were only staying one night we decided to put up with it, and put the a/c on to disperse the smell. The a/c could only be operated by a remote which wasn't working as there were no batteries in it. The receptionist wasn't at all helpful, didn't have any spares and wouldn't get any more. Then we had a problem as the fridge didn't seem to be working. The maintenance man couldn't find out where it was plugged in, and eventually found the socket hidden under a bottom shelf which could only be seen by lying on the floor. The dinner was a standard Indian buffet of daal, rice, vegetables, bony chicken etc. and not very inspiring. The breakfast the next morning was taken at Laughing B a bar in the hotel grounds. It consisted of toast, boiled eggs and a plate of what might have been an omelette. Tea and packet fruit juice also provided. Finally on check out the receptionist dressed in a dirty tracksuit top claimed he had no 100 rupee notes for change when settling the bill. Don't be fooled by this, as it is obviously a lucrative sideline for him. Guests gave him 100 rupees and he still claimed to the next person he didn't have any. I have reviewed around 100 hotels, thus is among the worst

I stayed Karni bhawan with my wife in oct first week An old well maintained big bungalow with lot of open space swimming pool . Well appointed rooms in Rajasthani style. Personalised attention. And now about food, it was amazing, still I remember the taste. Worth staying, memorable experience for me.

My wife and I stayed one night. Our room was fine, clean, spacious and functional. We had breakfast, which was sufficient but nothing remarkable, in the hotels restaurant and a simply lunch. The restaurant decor seemed a cross between a sports bar and kids cafe. Wi-Fi was poor.

This is a former Royal residence converted into a hotel with spacious and well furnished rooms. They offered a sumptuous and tasty breakfast as well. Lot of history is on display in the corridors. Overall, a great experience.

worst of rajasthan trip worst of rajasthan trip

by sydney s on April 13, 2017

the hotel is built nicely but poorly maintained... room service was pathetic.. we ended our vacation trip of rajasthan in jodhpur which i regretted.. we decided to celebrate new year here but to our surprise nothing special was there.. the hotel show least interest in restaurant and room service.. the owner and management was not bothered to improve service.. however the workers working there were helpful. .. the beds are not comfortable.. most of rooms have two single beds which r quiet high in height you can't rest ur feet on ground while sitting on beds.. the quilts were also not properly cleaned.. only like peaceful atmosphere and pool...
