Subhas Chandra from Jodhpur, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 4/5 Service Quality: 4/5 Dining Quality: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5

This is one of the most aesthetically decorated and well maintained room with heritage factor taken into mind. I would love to stay at this place again, as this is located very near to fort and Ghantaghar. It is right in the middle of a hustling-bustling market where you will have a great bargain. I bought scores of things here.

Decent hotel, not for humans though Decent hotel, not for humans though

by ambuj2k6 on January 2, 2015

The smell of cow piss enters your nostrils upon entering the compound which further increases upon proceeding towards the reception where you get the sight of a giant ox relieving itself! Delightful, innit? Wait. The best is yet to come. The hotel staff is dumb and stupid and so is the owner. After climbing flights of uneven stairs in a dingy corridor, you reach the room which are as tiny as they can get and without any attached toilets. The rooftop view is overrated which is visible from every guest house in the vicinity.

Great Time in Jodhpur Great Time in Jodhpur

12 young backpackers stayed here for one night. We had a great time and the staff is very nice. They have an awesome rooftop view where you can spend all day! Ask for a room with windows otherwise its very dark. 10/10

A Night in the Past A Night in the Past

The settings and ambiance of Patwa Hawli forms the background of an authentic experience. It is situated in the center of the old city. We had a beautiful room on terrace and a breath taking view of the fort from the rooftop. It retains an old world charm that seems to be lost in the hustle and bustle of modern India. It is a little bit difficult to find but asking around usually does the trick.

This place is not a hotel and is in the worst most dirty area This place is not a hotel and is in the worst most dirty area

by Royston H on April 1, 2014

We got there at 10:00pm at night. The area was disgustingly dirty and a large gang of men were right next to where we had to stop. There is a plastic sign saying patwa haweli above an arch but that was the only sign of the hotel. There were about 30 scooters parked inside a courtyard and some dirty looking doors all locked up. No sign or indication of a hotel anywhere. Even the driver of our tuktuk was clueless so we just simply drove to another better and more expensive hotel. You get what you pay for! Avoid this place if you have or are a female as well. Dodgy area! Avoid.

Tradition of a place Tradition of a place

What I must mention is the settings and ambiance that create the background of a truly Indian experience. Unlike other resorts and retreats, it's not secluded. On the opposite, it provides the real feeling of an Indian populous area, where you are welcomed with the hustle-bustle sounds of Indian context. I will say, an unique experience where you can enjoy a heritage stay, living with the people.
