A wonderful stay! A wonderful stay!

by Sneha G on November 27, 2017

I traveled to Jodhpur on a business visit around March and this place was highly recommended by my colleagues. So decided to take my family and visit Ravla Bhenswara around November. I was mind blown at how peaceful and homely this stay turned out to be. We were picked up from the railway station right on time, assigned 2 gorgeous looking rooms that were well equipped with wi-fi. It was a 3-day stay and not once did I feel like it wasn't well-organized. We were taken to the shepherd's village for an up-close and personal experience of what a village-life looks like. We were driven there by vintage jeeps. On other days we took a safari with the hotel staff and even enjoyed a gorgeous sunset along with coffee, tea, and snacks. In the nights we were treated to a feast of authentic Rajasthani delicacies which totally won me over. The dinner was then followed by folk-dance and some Rajasthani entertainment. The staff is extremely courteous and accommodating especially Mr. Abhimanyu Singh. The hotel is beautifully maintained with just the right amount of blend between being characteristic and traditional. My camera is filled with snapshots of the architecture and interiors of the place. I'd highly recommend this place to friends and family if you want to dive headfirst into some rich culture, relaxed and peaceful getaway. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Ravla bhenswara provides a pleasant stay where you can feel the heart of village culture. JeepSafari, gala dinner in rajasthani attire, musical evening make the stay more exciting and enjoyable.it was very nice experience. Would love to visit the place again.

Visited Ravla Bhenswara on 13th January 2017with wife & son. What can we say about this place except that it was absolutely memorable. From the welcome with traditional moli thread garland and drink, to the amazing room, to the fabulous food, attentive and friendly staff. The castle is located quite a distance away from the highway in a rural setting in the middle of the village Bhenswara. The whole family bestowed all through our stay, the spacious luxurious accommodation all with their individual touch and delicious home cooked food, in their ancestral palace. In the evening Mr.Abhimanyu Singh nephew of Thakur Shiv Pratap Singhji took us for jeep safari & jungle safari and he is a master in his job. Very supportive & responsible. Our night out was on a hill surrounded by high mountains with bonfire and drinks. The experience itself was thrilling & chilling ......once in a lifetime kind of. Next day we went for a village safari and a visit to their farm. They have a fleet of vintage cars and jeeps. Mr. Abhimanyu Singh was with us, took us to few right places to buy some traditional clothes & mojris..........Had a decent swimming pool with beautiful birds chirping in the mornings all around .Also they had two Labradors Brandy & Rum with whom my son had a great time........... Will definitely suggest for a memorable vacation and royal stay I am sure one will feel like a king. The entire royal family takes personal care of the guests. Do want to mention specifically that people like Mr.Abhimanyu Singh are always an asset for tourism industry. Will love to visit once again for sure....

Incredible experience Incredible experience

We spent one night at this magnificent mansion after visiting Jodhpur. It is a place that will transport you back to colonial times, with its great photos of time past and antique furniture. While the palace could support some renovations, it is still a nice place to relax and experience the "off the beaten track" India. The service is incredible, the family is very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. While the area is not often visited by tourists, it is worthy of a detour, especially if you're looking for some more authentic experiences than merely visiting the Taj Mahal with a guide. The family who owns the mansion organizes "village safaris" to the nearby farming communities in vintage jeeps. The local people are friendly, welcoming, and unabashed to tourists. While it was unsettling at times, it is an experience I cherish as it made me understand the poverty and daily challenges of rural communities much better. We travelled with our two children (ages 9 and 12) and they became immediate friends with the village children: playing, exchanging names, and having fun like children everywhere in the world -- cultural and language barriers became nonexistent. Ravla Bhenswara is a unique experience and well worthy of a detour. Go and be amazed.

The Perfect Holiday! The Perfect Holiday!

We had a fantastic stay here! Kunwar Shiv Pratap Singhji, his son Bh. ShivDutt Singh and nephew Abhimanyu Singh were extremely hospitable and took personal care to ensure we were comfortable during our stay there. They kept us engrossed with the history of the state and the village of Bhenswara in particular. The food was lip-smacking and the room exotic and well maintained. The safari is a must-do too. I have no hesitation in recommending Ravla Bhenswara to anyone who's looking for a quaint, peaceful holiday near Jodhpur.
