We spent two nights at this hotel. It was a beautiful experience with clean, well furnished rooms. Food was amazing. Fine dining facilities with well trained staff. An excellent hotel which we will recomend to family and friends.

Rooms, staff and food was very good of the hotel. The only problem was that the hotel is not in the heart of the city it is very far from the city and the taxi driver used to take 400 bucks to go to the city.

Stay was nice in this hotel but the hotel is very far from the city. There were three restaurants in the hotel but only one was open and the bar was also closed of the hotel.

The facilities were average when compared to its five Star status.The staff were very mediocre. In both the rooms there was water leakage stains & the paint had come off, which shows the poor maintenance and was giving a deceptive look to the otherwise good room. Stayed here with 3 adults in a room. 5-star quality room, bed, bathroom made for a really comfortable nights rest. Breakfast was okay with wide, but not as high quality selection but staff was extremely friendly. Only issue was provided wifi for 2 devices even though we booked for 3 ppl. Would stay here again. 20 min out from main Jodhpur

We had arranged the silver jubilee reunion of 1991 batch of SN MEDICAL COLLEGE, JODHPUR at this place on 27 and 28 Dec 2016. I have no words to describe the splendid hospitality provided to us by the whole management of THE UMMED. We had booked 73 rooms , all with triple sharing. We had guests from various cities as well as few NRI batch mates as well and all of us were with our families. All of them were astonished to see the royal architecture of the property. The warm traditional welcome accorded to all the guests was truly unforgettable. It was a unique experience for many of us , especially the kids. It should be mentioned that this is the largest hotel property in jodhpur, and that too not very far from city centre as well as convininety connected to airport and railway station. All the rooms are of good size and with traditional decor. The suits are huge with true royal taste. Bathrooms are well fitted with branded toiletries. Special mention of food ....... truly delicious ... truly indian . The authentic marwadi lunch served on 28th Dec with traditional daal bati and choorma was a surprise for all the guests and everyone relished it a lot. The dinner arrangement on 27th and banquet on 28th December was splendid. A wish to thank the whole management team and especially shri sangram ji , Mr. Mohd. Rafiq, narpat singh and yashwant singh for the tiring efforts they put in making our batch meet a memorable experience for each one of us. Kids enjoyed the carnival and various sports in huge lush green lawns. I also wish to convey my thanks from bottom of my heart to the owner shri ummed singh ji and shri ls champawat ji for taking personal interest in adequate management of our once in a lifetime event. I would surely recommend this property for leisure stays , family outings as well as big corporate events and conferences. THE UMMED KNOWS HOW TO MAKE GRAND EVENTS........

The Ummed is a sprawling property and makes an ideal destination for weddings and large gatherings. However it did feel a bit rundown with damp patches in rooms, weathering doors etc. The service was very poor. Majority of the staff did not seem professional. Getting cutlery at breakfast was quiet s challenge. They just could not handle a rush hour be at the reception or at the restaurant. We had a terrubek wait for checking even beyond 3 pm. The place needs professional management.

We stayed here from the 23rd - 25th of December 2016. The rooms are neat and clean. The food was excellent. The best part was the staff, extremely helpful and very warm in approach. The General Manager of the hotel, Sangram Singh was a person who immediatley made us feel at home;Narpath Singh was responsible for managing the restaurant. He made sure that every guest in the restaurant gets what he/she desires on time and according to preffered taste. The support staff was also very good, really helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel

The hotel is spread in a big area. Big lobby, lawns, open air car parks. It is a pity that the hotel is being run in an inefficient manner, which leaves a bad taste. The hotel is outside the city, so need to have some means of transport to go back and forth. I had hired a car for my Rajasthan trip, so not a problem for me. Check in was normal and porter helped us with the luggage to the room. Wifi signal was weak, so had to rely on my 4G connection. In the bathroom, the hot water temperature was low, which was promptly fixed on complaint. Towels looked past their prime. There were too many pigeons in this property, which gives a bad sight due to their dropping spread around. I saw a peacock in the lawn, which was a good sight. I get the impression that the big lawns are used for weddings, which is probably good source of revenue for the hotel, thus management paying less attention to the guests staying in the hotel. Luckily, there was no wedding during my stay. While taking a stroll in the lawn, my kids and I were chased by swarm of mosquitoes. Hurriedly we made our way to inside hotel, thankful that the two dogs in the lawn did not chase us. I looked for massage after 6 hours of road travel, but was told that the parlour staff had some emergency and had to leave for a few days. I tried to find gym..maybe it is there but atleast I couldn't find it. The swimming pool is surrounded by pigeons and bit of their dropping floating. I didn't have the courage to take a dip. I ordered two chocolate milk for kids through room service, which was not served until I gave a reminder after 30 mins. What came was warm (not hot) milk in a thermos, quantity not exceeding two teacups. A very expensive hot chocolate indeed. It is said that the state of menu reflects the standard of restaurant. The menu for room service placed in the hotel room was full of writings by previous guests. Some body had infact done a quick division of expenses on the back of menu card. Please see pictures to see what I mean. We can argue on bad guests, but what about the hotel? did anyone care to see how is the condition of menu card? On the housekeeping, in addition to pigeon droppings in the exterior, what shocked me was what i saw under my bed. Pls see picture. Breakfast was fine with limited choice but good taste. To summarise, the property is huge and can be an iconic property if managed well. The current staff at the hotel is indifferent, inefficient and bereft of any motivation to serve the customers.
