Hotel Mountain View

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days when we were on a trip to Darjeeling and sikkim. We stayed in a super deluxe room for these 2 days.. The experience was wonderful as the room was very neat and clean.. the view from the room was excellent where we could see clouds and mountains clearly.. The toilets were very clean and in order. The room was very spacious and even the other amenities like TV and WiFi were working well and great.. The manager of the hotel , Ashok was very warm while receiving and very polite and friendly in behavior.. he was very mild mannered and jovial in nature. Very clear in response and behaviour.. The food that was served was very good and tasty. It was very homely food. Overall a great experience and it was best hotel we visited on the trip of 5 days to Darjeeling/sikkim..

We booked this hotel this April for one night stay. It is a budget hotel and we booked this as it was at the later part of our Darjeeling trip and we wanted to keep the overall expenses within the limit. There was an apprehension as it was a long time since we stayed in a budget hotel. We were 6 people and booked 2 rooms. I must say we had a nice stay in the hotel. The hotel manager was very helpful. He went extra miles to cater to our needs. One example was rearranging the furniture so that we can eat together in the room, or for putting mattresses. The hotel offers wi-fi in the lobby through Airtel wireless dongle. But, the manager gave us the dongle to use it in our room. The hotel check-out time is 11:00 AM - but he allowed us to stay (in a different room) till 3:00 PM although the hotel was almost full and guests were coming in. The icing on the cake was the jolly nature of the manager. He was always smiling, and did not show any unhappiness towards our repeated multiple requests. The food served was veg - but it tasted good. The food was homely (without extra spices) and we liked it a lot (specifically as elderly people were traveling with us).

We stayed here as part of a tour so we didnt have a choice. The windows in our room looked out to a wall. The towel I picked up was damp, it smelled and when I opened it out it was threadbare and stained. After that I looked around the room and it wasnt very clean. After checking the price I still wouldnt be happy.

The warm reception given on arrival before the check in time for all the thirteen members on 12/05/18 by Shri Rajeev Rastogi has given the first impression of their hospitality "ADHITHI DEVO BHAVA ". All four rooms in first floor and one room in second floor were given to us. All rooms are very spacious and the linen are afresh. The night dinner was so tasty even the two children enjoyed the food. All senior citizens in the group were too happy with the food and the manner in which it was served. Please note that the food is prepared only on specific orders from the room occupants and requires minimum 40 minutes for the preparation. Coffee/Tea etc. was given to us by early morning on 13th May 2018. Poori and Potato Baaji was so nice and served hot. They are so helpful and with a smiling face always, took care of us very nicely. Special thanks to Shri Rajeev Rastogi and Shri Subham Rastogi who were so kind enough to take care of the senior citizens and fulfilled their needs. We stayed in a super deluxe room in December 2017 which is not a heavy rush season. From outside, the hotel would look very ordinary but from inside its decent. Pros: 1) It had a very nice view from the window of Kanchenjunga mountains. 2) Rooms were clean and decently spacious. 3) Room service was quick and food was good. Though Kadhai paneer was upto the mark compared to other items. 4) Hotel manager Mr Ashok was very courteous and warm and was ready to help. 5) A little distant from the main city (around 1.5km) on the mail road (accessible by shared taxis) due to which less traffic and noise. 6) value for money for travelers who do not want to spend too much on luxury. Geyser, mosquito repellent, room fresher, slipper etc was available already. (Writing this as some other hotels might charge extra for such services) Cons (not many): 1) Room heater was chargeable given the cold weather.
