the room was comfortable and clean. very well arranged and bathroom was also hygienic and well stocked. Room service was indeed quick and staff very courteous. Will definitely revisit if the opportunity arises again

I am coming to GRT quiet a long time ie more than 15 years and it was with different management earlier days . Recently I had my friends meet during shankranthi and it was good to come to GRT for a late evening meet . The restaurant is in the ground floor and it serve both veg and non veg . Food taste is very good the ordering process needs improvement and they have employ senior people for taking orders . It was quiet disappointing during ordering process . Overall good hotel for family , friends meet

I fail to comprehend how this very basic hotel with a mediocre restaurant with poor service can receive some of the ratings I see given. Anyone who would give the restaurant 4 or 5 stars has never experienced great cuisine. Likewise there is no way this hotel can meet the standard of a 4 or 5 star hotel. It is clean however, and that is a plus.

Excellent food, particularly the tandoori style fish. We were brought here for lunch with our temple tour group & it was a winner buffet. The green beans in coconut also were quite tasty. The restaurant is comfortable & clean. We had limited service because it was a buffet but all the staff were courteous & friendly.

Efficent and friendly staffgreat south Indian food including the famous kanchipuram idly was served.Rooms were very comfortable and so we're the beds .Great service and perfect to stay for a temple tour in this crowded ,chaotic but nevertheless historic ,charming ,small city

The rooms are small and the bathrooms probably dont have exhaust, everything else is as you would expect from a 3 - 4 star hotel, queen size bed with decent pillows, window to let some light into the room and basic tv. What stands out here is the service, ILA MARAN was of great service during our trip, we complained of a damp smell in one of the rooms we were allocated and within minutes we were shifted to another room. We requested him for packed breakfast for the kids in the morning as we were leaving for the temple at 7 (breakfast starts at 7), a carry bag was packed and waiting at the reception at 6.45 am with Idli and Pongal. No follow ups or reminders were given to them.. this is what I call stand out service! Thank you Ila Maran. The housekeeping was on their toes always, every request was turned around in less than 5 minutes, their cleaning and maintenance was also excellent! The restaurant was friendly too, unfortunately for them, the cockroach problem in the restaurant doesnt help! not many, but sighting one or two is enough to put you off! To the restaurant's credit, the breakfast spread was excellent and very tasty. Service was quick too! Will definitely go back to GRT Kanchipuram!
