This is a budget and basic lodge type resort with large comfortable rooms overlooking the Ken River (take a mosquito net). Efficient and very friendly staff made up for the seemingly indifference of the manager although he did rally on our last day to provide us with a surprise trip to a waterfall we were unaware of. This resort is very near to Panna Tiger Reserve and has great potential so stay tuned. The food was excellent and the service great.

We spent 4 nights is this lodge close (3 mn by car) to the Panna Tiger Resort. The Panna Tiger Resort offer a very confortable rooms. very clean in a very quite atmosphere with view on the Ken river. The meals are very good and are different every day. The manager can help you to plan visits in the area(Panna Tiger Reserve, boat rides on the Ken river, Raneh Falls,...). Very good address for people who wants to be close to Panna Tiger Resort and not having to stay at Khajuraho (~45 mn by car).

peaceful, quiet place,helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms,good food, very near to the jungle...bornfire and a walk along the river are recommended..sridhar bangar ensures the comfort of all guest members. not more than two nights are recommended...

Had a very pleasant one night stay at the panna tiger resort. It's located on the banks of the river Ken and about 1 km from the panna tiger reserve gate. The manager Mr. Sridhar and his staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Since u r close to the jungle and surrounded by nature there r no wifi or tv in the rooms. However those with urgent needs can go to the reception and access wifi. The view from the restaurant is amazing overlooking the river Ken. The rooms may not be luxurious but are very comfortable. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Will definitely recommend this property to all and would love to stay here again.

This review is long overdue. We visited Panna Tiger Reserve during Christmas 2015 and stayed at Panna Tiger Resort. We stayed for two nights. Overall it was a nice stay. Here is our observation about our experience starting from reservation till end. Good things first- 1. It is a new property, nice spacious rooms, new furniture etc. It had a room heater as well which during peak winter was very useful. 2. It is just beside the Ken river yet not far from Madla gate. The ambience is good. 3. They provide AP plan what includes lunch and dinner. We liked both in quality and quantity. Our kids were a bit upset since there was NO non-veg during lunch but they quickly addressed to the best of their capacity by some egg bhujia /omlette. 4. At the end of each safari, they greeted us with a warm wet refreshing towel. We simply loved it. 5. Met one of the owner during our stay Mr. Ranveer Shikarwar very warm person. All the staffs are very nice and courteous. Now NOT so good things- 1. Though it is called a resort; it lags resort like facilities. I am not complaining since it does not have swimming pool, spa etc. It even lags a childrens play area swing, slide etc. That way this accommodation is a little costly in value term. 2. For breakfast, lunch and dinner what was covered in AP plan, we did not have to wait. However, we ordered some snacks and tea in each evening. It look significant long time to prepare and at the end we found those were pretty costly too. 3. We checked out in a hurry and I somehow missed to collect the final bill. They had shown me the final settlement in a hand written chit and I settled that and moved on without realizing they have not given me any final printed bill. From any good hotel management, this is unacceptable. I contacted them later to send me the final settlement by e-mail. Then they asked me to send a scanned copy of the hand written chit (that they had given me) what I had lost meanwhile and could not send. So finally I did not get the final printed bill. It is also a bit upsetting to learn that they dont have any system in place to generate the bills when everything is driven by internet. Per my view wherever I dont get a printed bill, I cant help but to be suspicious about the hotel management since this is the commonest way of tax evasion what I dont support. Now the UGLY things- 1. Advance booking in this resort was a pain. I contacted them 3 months earlier and then they told me room would be available and I need to drop a mail to them. I dropped a mail to them 2 months earlier. That time they told me reservation only possible if I book for at least 2 nights during Christmas time. They can not give one night reservation. That was NOT told when I spoke to them earlier. The difference is earlier I spoke to Mr. Ranveer Shikarwar and later I spoke to their Delhi sales office / agent. Since I had booked the safaris at Panna already; I had to yield to this demand changing my itinerary and cancelling another hotel which cost me some monitory loss. 2. And finally the most irritating and funny part. I requested them to arrange Gypsies for my safaris as I had booked my safaris online. Their Delhi sales office suggested me that gypsies can only be booked if I make 100% advance payment for that when I am making the room reservation. I have visited 10+ national parks and taken 40+ jungle safaris but never heard of such a demand. Their logic was since it is peak time, I need to pay 100% as advance. I could not stop laughing with this ask. We always visited during peak season only in the other parks. And of course, their ask for gypsy charge was extremely high for this advance booking. This was terribly upsetting. Finally I booked my gypsies myself and got the rate 30% cheaper than what they asked for. In a nutshell, I found their Delhi Sales office/agent is trying their best to allude customers for not going to Panna Tiger Resort whereas the resort is pretty nice. One may wonder why still I stayed at Panna Tiger Resort after such hiccups at the beginning. Two reasons: 1. MPTDC was fully booked by then. 2. One of my friend referred that the place is nice and staff over there are really helpful. More importantly, the sales folks who irritated me during reservation will not be present there. At the end, I reconcile it being a good advice.
