Basic rooms with decent staff service. Food was satisfactory.

The staff was polite and helpful but there was a major problem with the hot water supply to my bathroom. I had to wait for around 30 min on a couple of occasions for it to be fixed up. Don't remember seeing a lift either. Hotel has a locational advantage though - very close to the station and the city centre - mall etc. They also arranged for a very nice and reasonable 'autowallah' who took me around the city for the duration of my stay.

Staff were fine in their service. Room was nice but the interiors were of old style. Breakfast was okay in taste. It is just an average hotel to stay.

It was a budget hotel still it was well facilitated and the service was excellent. The staff was caring and food was tasteful. The room was also clean and spacious. The location was not so convenient but I was satisfied with the overall experience.

Location was the only concern as the surrounding was not so decent. Otherwise property was quite good. Their service was room arrangement was systematic. I didn't not checked any food in the hotel as I stayed there only for a day.

Well I am a frequent traveller to kanpur as its my second home so I stayed here in one of my trips for a night.I found this hotel to be really okay with no good offerings at all.Rooms were okay but staffs were not supportive.Also the food was very average.They don't have free wifi or anything.May be you should keep this as a last option to stay in Kanpur.

Its not too good hotel to stay. Hotel environment is also not that much healthy for which we have paid cost. Food service is also very slow, we have to wait here for one hour after giving order. It was my very bad experience in this hotel.

I have traveled a lot. sometimes to places like bilaspur, jal gaon and many small cities. My recent visit to kanpur on 11/3/14 inspite of my booking in kesar palace my auto rickshaw driver took me to may fair. Being too tired and as it was 5 in the morning i said yes but i never knew this would be the worst day of my life. As soon I entered my room after half an hour i saw smoke slowly entering my room through windows and in next 15 mins my entire room was full of smoke and seeing through the windows i saw it was coming from backside of hotel. I complained at the reception they said the adjacent hotel has lighten up their tandoor so smoke belong to it and it will go in next 10 mins. I waited for 20 mins when nothing happened and it became impossible for me to remain in room i came at reception and made them aware of the reception. He told by mistake exhaust fan of adjacent hotels kitchen which was on our hotels side was turned on hence entire smoke came in our rooms. Now situation is under control. I told them plz take care of situation or else i will check out as being an asthama patient i wont be possible for me to stay there. After some time i saw again smoke coming in my room. I went downstairs saw all of them gossiping at the gate of hotel who was responsible for the smoke and when i called them then they realised some one has turned on the exhaust fan once again. I told the manager to proceed for check out formalities and return my deposit of 2000/- as I have spent only 3 hours in hotel from which for last 2: 30 hours i was standing downstairs. But still he deducted 800/- bucks and told nothing can be done. I said i will speak tot he owner about that he said plz go ahead.. I called for an auto went to kesar palace one of the decent hotel in kanpur.

I am not saying that this was the worst hotel of my life but nowhere close to the best either. Food was good that is the only pro though. Staff was largely indifferent to problems but otherwise service was OK. Not recommended, but not a must avoid either.
