Very Good Hotel for stay and god view of the Sea. Access to shores at the back entrance and very good view in the morning as well as in the evening. Restaurant is ok kind of food which you can get to fill your belly. Dont expect variety and taste. Good for guys can enjoy the drink at their permit room.

Stayed two days in a 4 bedded family cottage room with family. Room is very big with two bathrooms. Clean. But no balcony. So no view of the sea. Just a room.
Very bad service. For four people, they have given only one towel, no soaps. After complaining three times, after 24 hrs, given three more towels and soaps. And that guy immediately asking money for this. I was so surprised.
Restaurant is OK.
After written complain to manager about the service, manager just told sorry with no action taken. May be I should not expect any more from a government run hotel.
We had been here for two nights. Though we booked AC Suit, the authority provided us Sea facing AC double room at the new building. The day we reached the hotel, was eventually the day of celebrating Saraswati Puja in Tamilnadu. The staff members were nice to call us to attend the Puja. We attended, enjoyed and were given the PRASAD.
Location wise the hotel is no doubt, a masterpiece. Huge area with several peacocks and peahens, the soothing sight of the Sea right from the Verandah are the positive features of the hotel. The hotel apparently is not a luxurious one. A big room with clean bed sheets, a large toilet with clean towels, two chairs at the verandah, one wardrobe and two more chairs at the room were made available with us. The toiletries, however, consisted of two soaps only. We were lucky to have the Sea facing room at the new building and at the first floor. Initially the AC was not working but immediately one of the staff members took care of it and it worked properly.
There were mosquitoes at the room to start feast. The hotel authority, though sprayed liquids at the room, it was not adequate to get rid of it. Thus, we had to purchase mosquito coils to cope with.
The room rent appears to be at the higher side. But the food, we felt, is of low cost and good one. However, they provide only South Indian food at the breakfast. The authority may consider the food of other States too at the breakfast.
Check out time here is 10.00 A.M. and it is really tough to cope with the train timings. Our train was at 7.10 P.M. and we had to kill our times sitting at the reception area, since, there were no rooms left to be booked to kill the time.
Over all, location wise its probably the best in the business. The staff members are good and try their level best to cope with.
Despite some odds, I still would prefer to be here time and again.
