I stayed for two nights 12-14 Feb 2017 at this property. Initially i booked for non- a/c room but upon arriving at Kanyakumari and feeling the heat requested for an upgrade to a/c room. Reception in charge Mr. John had accomodated my request and i paid the difference. We arrived at 13;30 hrs , got refreshed and left immediately for Lunch and Vivekananda Rock Memorial.Later when we returned at 8 pm looking forward for a sound sleep , we were in for a shock. A/c was not working , only air was blowing. Also the ceiling fan regulator was not working, in the sense fan will run only at FULL SPEED when switched on. Called Mr. John and explained the issue. Next day morning he has provided us with accomodation in another room saying a/c is working there. Since we were in a hurry to leave in the morning ,we just shifted our belongings and left for our tour. Later when we came back at 16;00 hrs and switched on the a/c , it sure did start but it was switching off after every 3 min. It will start again after 5 min and work for another 3 min. As a result room was not cooling. Also fan in this room was working only at FULL SPEED. Brought this to the attention of Reception Supervisor who acknowledged this issue and called for an electrician. I was informed that Electrician was out of station and will come only after two days. Later in the night i observed that there was beautiful sea breeze outside the room in the corridor and we were sweating all night inside the room. Natural cool breeze from outside could not cool the room as there was no ventilation other than the room door. Felt like sleeping in the corridor then in the room. When i saw Reception incharge, called him and asked him to feel for himself this difference. He could not do anything other than apologising for this inconvenience. I strongly feel that the maintenance at this property is Very Pathetic. What with a/c's in two rooms not working and Ceiling Fans having defective regulators and running only at one speed. This does not happen overnight. Reception supervisors also do not have the authority to call any electrician other than the appointed one. This appointed Electrician was having a holiday somewhere else leaving the Hotel Guests to sweat it out whole night and pay for that luxury. Later i found new properties with better rooms and ventilation in the same road and with the same tariff. However they are not listed in travel guru website. Only advantage of this Property is its just 5 min walk from Railway Station and you can have good view of Sunrise from the roof. I would recommend this property only after you convince yourself about the working condition of A/C's and Fans. Also one needs to be careful in Bathrooms as the one i stayed had Granite Flooring which becomes very slippery with soap water while bathing.

Hotel is right on the main road and just opposite the railway station and all the tourist attractions are very nearby. Stayed for two nights in March. The hotel staff is Very cordial especially Hotel Manager Mr Vinod. He helped me a lot in terms of places to see nearby Kanyakumari . Overall a very pleasant stay

Right on the main small city Kanyakumari Quiet location but only a few minutes to beach and good view of sunrise from hotel itself. Beach is ok and plenty of help from the staff of the and the owner John Kennedy . Hotel manager arranged for site seeing.

Location: Hotel is walkable distance from Kanyakumari Railway station. It is on main road and easily accessible by autos. We stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Hotel rooms are of bigger size but average quality and not clean. Dusty smell from the rooms. Bathrooms are not clean. Furniture is old and need improvement. Overall hotel is not worth your money.

We stayed just 2 nights at New cape hotel and beach 5 mints walking distance. Great location and lovely staff. The room service was very good and rooms were very clean . Free WiFi was also given.Over all recommended.
