Wonderful place to relax away from maddening crowd. Mainly a defence area so no nonsense zone. Very windy and extremely scenic. Ross Common a 160 year old British Bunglow now converted in to a HPTDC Hotel. Rooms are enough to stay and some do not have a window but that is well managed by wonderful outside lawns and open places. Water in some rooms are bit problematic. The upkeep of rooms and furniture are definitely not as per the charges you have to pay for. Bathrooms are okay with limited and poor quality hand wash soap and towel. Bed and linens are falls short of expectation. Food served in the restaurant is good but costly comparing to its standard of accommodation. The lawn outside is very attractive with best of the views. Good sunny day you can see the Himalayan range clearly from the lawn. Again the Himachal State Tourism department displays its callousness in developing such brilliant sites all across the state. Extremely poor in conserving the environment.
