We have stayed at Royal Villa for our anniversaries for the last 3 years. It is a basic hotel but the best in the locality. It is managed by a local staff and the owners visit on the weekend. We coordinate with them over phone calls and make online payments to book the rooms. The food is local delicacies. The rooms and well maintained and clean. The property is maintained. It is walkable from the beach and has a quiet feel about it. Its a good place to relax for a weekend and enjoy the sun and sea. The staff arranges for a fireplace if you request for it. Please note alcohol is not served here.
We had an amazing experience at Royal Villa. The rooms are pretty decent and great value for money. The view of the hills from the room was absolutely stunning. The staff was very responsive and were nice enough to take our requests even at odd hours. The food was nice and homely. They provided us customised meals for our little one too. The delight factor of this place is its proximity to the beach (it's a 2 min walk) We walked to the beach every morning to enjoy the sunrise. Overall a great experience.
We were a family of 2 couples with 1 kid each and chose 2 supreme rooms from 1st floor with back ward facing balcony (no 9 and 10). Our decision making was purely led by trip advisor reviews. Its a small resort just off the main road by around 100 meters on Kashid Murud road. Situated at around 2 KM from main Kashid beach, 15 Km from Murud janjira and best around just 250 meters from the beach connecting Kashid. Indeed this part of the beach is less crowded and more enjoyable. Lemme details things - Resort can be more appropriately described as a bungalow more build in little over 1 acre, this property has around 11-12 rooms of different variants - largest being suit which is super spacious with balcony. Indeed All rooms are clean and decently sized with a small # TV. Parking space is adequate. Lobby is small with an entrance restaurant They have a kitchen, a covered sit out restaurant, a lawn at the back, a small childrens play area around the sit out area. On the downside - Pool is not available. Bathrooms are averagely done. Food strictly okay. Doesn't give you Konkani taste. We being food lovers had to look out for better options outside. Service is slow but the staff is very cooperative and willing to help you in whatever form they can. This gives feeling of a homely run resort than a professionally run hotel. Sound pricy what you end up paying here overall. Host Mr Sadiq Shaikh is the owner of this property and is a very humble and helpful person. His visit here is limited to weekends or occasions. Overall a decent and peaceful bungalow/property with slightly over priced.
I went to this hotel for a weekend getaway. I had seen good percentage of reviews so thought of selecting this hotel for my stay. Its not close to sea but some 2-3kms from Kashid beach. Here is my section wise review Rooms(3/5) : Room was good and clean. We had opted for a room with balcony. View from balcony is ok. But I felt room was slightly over priced at Rs 4000/-. In evening the bathroom was stinking mildly. Informed the housekeeping and they quickly cleaned it up for us. Food (4/5) : Food was very good. I had tried Veg Non Veg, taste was good for both type of dishes. But yes they don't serve Tandoori as well as Mutton. Though they have mentioned it in their menu card. Staff (4/5) : Staff was very courteous. Mr. Sadiq was the one with whom I had communicated for booking. He too was very courteous. Hotel (4/5): Hotel was good. They have amenities recreation activities like carrom board, table tennis, badminton. Slide, see-saw, swing for small kids. They provide free WiFi. Overall service was good. But I faced few issues. Like there was some work going on during daytime and the noise of drill machine was disturbing. Then next morning the solar heater was not working properly. Staff took congnizance of the situation and started geyser for me. Note: They don't accept cards. Cash, IMPS or NEFT is an option. Over all I enjoyed my stay over there. It was relaxing.
We stayed here during the Xmas of 2015. It was not too expensive, compared to the peak season. This is a newly built villa and is beautiful and clean. Its walking distance to the beach. The service was good..everyone around was ready to help. This is one of the nicest property I have seen in the Konkan belt.Highly recommend..and would definitely visit again.
