We visited Tarkarli during 1st week of January, 2015 and stayed at Shri Saigajanan Beach Resort/Nyahari Niwas. The place falls in devbag and is situated right opposite the devbag jetty. The view from rooms is quite scenic as you can see the Karli River from here. This being a home-stay, rooms are pretty basic when it comes to amenities, all rooms are equally sized with two cots joined to make a double bed, and an attached bathroom with western/Indian style toilet. The rooms look newly constructed from outside, but on the inside they look ordinary. The bed-sheets, towel etc provided are also average ones, giving the hint 'Itna paisa me itna hich milenga'. But I guess that's how most of other home-stays are providing, considering the cost per room. The owners, Mandar Tari and family are quite courteous and helpful by nature. Homemade food is available is reasonable cost and so are cold drinks etc too. There is a little bit sand also in the courtyard with 2-3 swings provided. But anyway since we went on a beach holiday, we spent hardly any time in the room apart from sleeping and bathing, so the amenities etc were okay when compared to the rates that they charged us (1500 Rs per day, Non AC).
