Excellent views of the valley. Good rooms, helpful staff, tasty food. Got a complimentary upgrade. Only downside is the location, that too only if you do not have your own vehicle - this hotel is a bit away from the main lake area.

I visited this hotel in Dec, 2015.. the room was dirty and provided bed with sub standard bedsheet and blanket. The wifi was not was not proper facility of heater in room...the only good thing about the hotel is its location and property but not properly maintained by the staff....

The main issue with this hotel is that it lacks a manager who knows the basics of the industry. Reception becomes at night improvised dormitory for staff, the kitchen is extremely dirty, rooms smell of mildew, plumbing is pre-independence, loose (life) electrical wires and panels in bathroom, staff has no clue about what a guest wants. And so on. Staff is helpful but is in need of manager to train them and to tell them what to do. Unless you are caught in a blizzard in the mountain, avoid this hotel.

the best hotel in khajjiar with excellent employees . we were there from 25-28 august our package includes breakfast and dinner , food was delicious and our room was studio room its interior was beautiful. overall we had great time there thanks to royal residency.

1. Location map on several websites confuse Royal Residency - khajjiar with Royal Regency - Dalhousie. Make sure about location and keep in mind it's only 24 kms from Dalhousie but it takes about 1 hour to reach there. 2. Hotel entrance/reception is good but rooms are old constructed and looks like 90's. My score as per expectation and pictures seen online : 2/10 3. Though hotel have 32" Led tv but it works on local cable connection which is not clear and wire connections and fittings looks like they put it on temporary basis. All switch and sockets are very old and some even broken and loose. My score 1/10. 4. In night if your room lights were switch on even for 10 mins your room will get filled with mosquitos, insects, flys and many other flour and fauna insects. Hotel doesn't have management to handle this situation. My score 2/10. 5. Hotel food quality was below average but it's an average if compared to Khajjiar restaurants. Breakfast if you compare to 2 star level hotel in cities like Chandigarh or Delhi it's way below that. Table and chairs of restaurant I think they never cleaned, all tables got sticky surface if you put your hands on it you'll realise it's not clean. My score 1/10 6. Overall experience was below average as per expectation, please keep in mind before visiting this hotel. I have spoke to hotel manager at reception about some of my dislikes he informed me that hotel is under renovation.
