We were in the state of shock when we came to know the Shining Star Resort does not have our bookings and There was no information from Travel Guru on this. We called the help desk and told them the situation then after half an hour when we called them back then they arranged another hotel for which was 2.5 Km Away from this place. Thought the stay in that hotel was good but still It was the first time happening with me.

totally unhygienic conditions prevailed in the hotel. water appeared to be contaminated, quality of food was horrible and service was pathetic. Besides we were to be served free breakfast in two of the three rooms booked as intimated to us at the time of booking but we were charged for the breakfast on both the days.

The service was extremely bad. The staff was not at all co-operative and there was no cleanliness is well. Otherwise food quality was decent and location was excellent. The room arrangement was decent but they need to focus on their service.

We really pretty much enjoyed our stay in Luxury Suite at Shining Star Resort. Everything was very fine. Its value for money & can be recommendable for others.

Khajjiar is a beautiful place to visit as it is one of the best unexplored locations in India. Talking about the hotel it is beautifully located in the mountains and the view from the rooms is mindblowing. But the rooms were untidy and unfit to stay in which was a big disappointment. Food was average and one can eat here without any problem as they have a good variety of both veg and non-veg items.

Given the fact that Khajjiar is a small village with hardly any options to stay, this maybe a decent option if you want to stay close to the Khajjiar gardens which are hardly a kilometer away. I stayed with my hubby and two little kids and we struggled a lot here. The rooms were average, nothing great, stinky blankets and stained pillow covers. The food was average, limited items on the buffet and no option for ala-carte. We stayed there for 3 days, eating same dal makhni day and night. My babies didn't want that, so I wanted any other dal, but they said that they have only black dal in their hotel....disgusting! They never helped us to heat milk for my babies and took more than an hour to give a glass of milk every time. I had to actually go to their kitchen myself to heat milk for my babies, and that too in the most messy and unhygienic kitchen I have ever seen. The staff was also not all that great, in spite of the tips. To get one plain omelette, I had to order at least thrice and reject two masala omlettles...and that happened on all the days...sigh! Had I had the slightest idea about how this place was, I would have never booked it in the first place. When I look back, I realise that never in my life have I stayed in such a third class accommodation. I feel sorry for my kids that they had to put up with all the non - sense there.

Location is good. Kailash mountaines can be seen. Food is costly and they are charging extra room services 20% for foods which is not expected. Room heater is also available on extra cost which is also not expected during winters.

It was a great experience staying in shining star resort with family. The property is very beautiful. The view from balcony is nice, reception good, staff good, and food is also better. We never felt bored staying in the hotel ambience, Recommended to all.

First of all it is an awesome property with a beautifull mountain veiw. Great hospitality with a personal touch. It was a very nice experience, neat and specious rooms, nice view from balcony, good lighting, delicious food, good ambience, caring staff from reception lobby to house keeping. No negative to point out. Guaranted stay experience. : )
