We spend 2 nights here. Pretty average rooms however they were tidy. Service was simply great. Food was well enjoyed though a bit spicy.

I had a good experience in this hotel. The rooms are well maintained and with nice furnitures. There is a peace and silence maintained in this hotel and the best thing about this hotel is its staff as they are very nice and helpful. I have recommended this hotel to my family and friends.

I stayed here with my family for a quick few days gate away. In spite of the travel delay at our end, the staffs were very accommodating, courteous and also helpful always. F/B services were very good and prompt, quality of the food and the portion was very generous as well. I would strongly recommend folks to stay here. Very close to the western mandirs ... which is walking distance. We used the car from the hotel and there also the drivers were very good.

Hi Spent a day at Hotel Chandela. Clean rooms with great service. Great manager and Staff . Food was very good , tried the Bundelkhand Thali. Must try for people who try out different Indian cuisines. will definitey stay over again of going to Khajuraho .

We booked this hotel, being part of The Taj Hotels chain, since we have visited quite a few Taj hotels earlier and the experience was awesome. However, this property is very old and needs immediate renovation. Infrastructure is outdated, furniture is showing signs of decripit. Even bathrooms did not have a health faucet. I was told that most customers are foreigners, hence health faucets of jets were not provided, which is simply ridiculous. Please understand nowadays Indians are travelling more and more and stop ignoring their needs. Quality of food and breakfast spreads are just OK. It does not match the quality of the Taj. Food quality of the Taj has been awesome every where, we have visited, but not here at Chandela. Taste was OK. Paneer was very hard, not only in breakfast items, but also in the Gala Dinner provided at the new year eve. Variety was very less and repetitive on both days. However, south indian food items, especially live Dosa counter, were very good and the only highlight. I made direct booking, which was smooth, but their response time is very slow and they do not follow up their bookings, which needs improvement. We had booked for a new year celebration, but I got down for the party, it took me almost 10 minutes to get my coupon. It was not ready actually. Staff was however very warm and polite. It seems that the licensee of the Taj, has been very indifferent in maintaining this hotel, despite of the good staff available with them. I would rate this hotel only 3.5* and would prefer better hotels in the vicinity for future trips, unless some good deal is on offer. Hope they upgrade and become more responsive, before I change my opinion about this otherwise good hotel property.

The Hotel infrastructure is very outdated and needs immediate renovation. It is not fit for a 5* hotel. To me, it's not more than 3-1/2*. I have been to multiple 5* hotels in Khajuraho, but am simply disappointed with your property. It's surprising that your attached bathrooms do not have health faucets, which is a necessity for Indians. We have not experienced this problem anywhere in my several stays either in India or even in international hotels. Food quality is not up to the mark. Taste of the food and variety on the offer was below standard and does not match my awsome experience at other Taj group hotels. I am simply disappointed. Staff although is nice and helpful.

Just spent several days again at this hotel whilst attending a film festival in Khajuraho. Just loved every minute of my stay, right from the room staff to the GM of the hotel service was impecable. Very close to the temples and simply a very quiet peaceful hotel. During my stay there was also a wedding and just loved the way they did the complete setup too. Did not want to leave!
