Khajuraho is a small place, little more than a village. Stayed at the Ramada on my second trip here and was pleased to find it well equipped in all respects. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport and barely 10-15 minutes from the temples (depending on which set of temples you want to visit). I had asked for an airport pick up (and later a drop) both of which were arranged seamlessly without any follow up being required.
Despite a number of guests being around the reception area, my checkin was quick. As was the checkout.
The room was clean and it had all the necessary elements usually sought. Room service was prompt and the food was just enough in quantity, also decent in taste though nothing great. A pity there was no local delicacy (as in from the Bundelkhand region) on the menu though there was an assortment of other Indian dishes.
One drawback I would point to is a certain uniformity in the buffet breakfast menu - I stayed for five days and barring some minor (poori-sabzi instead of parantha) changes, the food menu was identical on all days. In all a satisfactory and pleasant stay.
The stay at Ramada Khajuraho has been quite pleasant and relaxing. The family suites booked by us were very spacious and very orderly and neat. The complimentary breakfast was very good on both days. The Gala dinner Music and dance arranged for guest on 31st night was something to be experienced rather expressed. The Ever smiling staff made our stay memorable.
We stayed at the hotel on the first day of the New Year and boy was it messy. We checked in only to find our rooms were in dreadful shape and the bathrooms werent cleaned. After changing the room. We got upgraded. But the misery doesnt end there. Post that we got to the dinner which was absolutely atrocious. The breakfast was horrible. The chef at the egg station clearly was what seemed to me a complete fresher. He couldnt even manage to make a decent omelette. Not rocket science people! Also I dont understand why one has to leave the tap running for 10 mins for the hot water. Disappointed stay. Never again.
My wife and stayed at the Ramada hotel for only one night. Its difficult to judge on just one night stay. The rooms were very large and comfortable with large King bed, study and bathroom. The whole area was very clean. We were visiting in Jan so in the evening it was a little cold but with the help of a heater we were able to make ourselves cosy. We ate at the hotel and found the food ok, not exciting, but adequate for our needs of one night.
Ramada Khajuraho is a must go property. Very professional people .... gives personal attention to each guest ... comfortable stay.
