Nice and warm stay Nice and warm stay

by Gaurav S on October 12, 2016

This family run guest house is a very good option for those visiting Khujaraho .The location is excellent due to its proximity to the Western Group of temples and the city centre. The rooms are basic but offer air conditioning ,tv ,wifi and attached washroom . What stands out is the helpful and candid nature of the host,Vaibhav , which almost makes it feel as if you are staying at a friend's place. He offered to pick me up from the station on his bike upon my arrival which was a great gesture .He was always available for guiding on how to go around Khajuraho .The staff is courteous and friendly as well. Overall it was a very pleasant stay at Shree Ram Tourist Home.

I stayed here for around two days. The hotel is value for money and from Hotel itself you can get a scenic view of temples. The staff is very welcoming so as the owner. Best hospitality and well organised everything. Staff is very cooperative and understands customers' need. All together a superb experience looking forward to visit again. Regards Kev

We stayed two nights at Shree Ram Tourist Home during our trip to Khajuraho. We've had several stays in guest houses over the course of 2 months in India, and this was one of our favorites. Clean and cozy room, comfortable mattress, solid WI-FI connection, pleasant grounds with flowering plants & trees, quiet location just a five minute walk to Khajuraho town center, restaurants, and Western Temple Group. We arrived a bit before 6 am after an overnight train trip from Varanasi. Despite the noon check-in policy, and because it was already made up for us, they let us have our room immediately. That enabled us to go right to the Western Temple Group and see it in the early morning light, before the heat and the crowd. If you want something a little different from the typical budget tourist-hotel, Shree Ram Tourist Home is a lovely guesthouse experience. Highly recommend!

Vaibhav and my entire experience at his guest house were the best I had in India. From the very start he was a life-saver, kindly pointing out that my flight into town was booked for the Wrong date when I shared my itinerary. Then my arrival coincided with him visiting a friend near the airport so he actually picked me up on his motorbike free of charge! He was full of advice about my time there and in India and we enjoyed great friendly conversation. He took me personally to several options for different price ranges of handicrafts and dropped me off and picked me up from a dance show across town. Another young man working there also gave me a ride to the train station on his motorbike my last night for much less than the going rate of a rickshaw. Vaibhav shared his dinner with me, helped me book my train ticket and print it off.. He was willing and helpful at every turn. And the best part of it, you could tell he enjoyed it, enjoyed meeting people and sharing his culture and learning about others. Everyone in khajuraho was so kind and warm, and the small quiet town was such a welcome relief after the noise and chaos of Delhi and Agra. I would love to have stayed longer. I hope to be back! Thank you Vaibhav!

Its a small family run guesthouse. Its basic n simple rooms have nothing much to talk about but they are surely clean n neat. Its just got 5 to 6 rooms so one thing garunteed is peace and while travellig in India you need that sometimes. The best part about the place is its location, just a 2 minute walk from the western group of temples and the town center where most restaurants (which is important as they dont have a kitchen of their own) n shops are located. In fact it is so close to the temples that you can see them from the roof of the hotel. The staff (2 boys) are very helpful n courteous. The owner vaibhav who left his corporate job in the city to look after their family guesthouse is always willing to help n would recommend things to do n places to eat n chill during your stay here. All in all a great value for money place.
