I have stayed in this hotel on 11.01.2017 on my solo trip to Khajuraho. I have paid about 600/-. The Hotel is decent and staff are very polite and helpful. From western group of hotels it is just 1.50km.from Bus stand auto charged 50/-. From this hotel to Railway station (10km) auto charged 150/-. Since my visit is off season, there is not much of a rush.

We stayed at this property from 4th January 2017 to 7th January 2017. I booked it after going through the reviews on TripAdvisor. The overall experience was okay but somethings were truly a letdown. First of all, the good part. It is a big property with a nice garden, lots of open space, a garden sitout and a roof top restaurant as well. The rooms are newly constructed, neat and clean. The bathrooms are small but clean and hygienic. The overall environment is very calm and peaceful. It is located about 1.5 km away from the Western group of temples and if you enjoy walking then you can walk to the temples and the city centre everyday. However, we had kids with us so they arranged a tuktuk for us. The tuktuk driver Mr. Raju Soni is a very humble person and was with us during our entire trip and guided us regarding the tourist attractions, good food joints and few times refused to take any money for taking us to the temples. The food was fairly good but we didn't like the tea. Now the negatives.....service. Please don't expect any room service as they don't have an intercom system installed yet. You have to walk to their kitchen or reception for everything. We booked two rooms for three days and were provided with one small soap in each bathroom. Nothing was provided beyond that. The towels were not changed anyday. We had to get even the drinking water ourselves each time from the kitchen. We had problems with the supply of hot water and on the second day we had to bathe with cold water. The biggest letdown was when we asked them for extra blankets as it got chilly at night. The blankets they turned up with were very low grade and dirty. When we refused to use them, they told us that they didn't have extra blankets. When we asked them to give us blankets from some other room they lied that all the other rooms are full. But when my husband got angry, they promptly got us new blankets from the other rooms. They say that they provide free yoga and meditation classes but when we enquired we were told that they charge 150 rs per person for yoga classes and meditation sessions required "donation". All together, it was a mixed experience. I think the problem is lack of management as overall the staff is friendly but they don't know how to work professionaly.

We spent 4 days in this lovely guesthouse and it was all we needed! Quiet, peaceful, clean and not so far away from the wearer temples l. We walk every day to the centre of the town. People is friendly. Hot water and wifi connection. We highly recommend it!

If you are looking for a cheap place and you dont mind walking a bit further, this is a nice place to stay! If you are looking for a cheap place and you dont mind walking a bit further, this is a nice place to stay!

We stayed at Yogi Ashram Guesthouse but were a bit disappointed about their location. On booking it says that they are only 200 meters away from the temples. We think they forgot an extra zero. The guesthouse itself is really cheap and clean, the food is good for fair prices, but we had some difficulties adjusting. They dont have bikes for rent but do their best to get you into a car (which is obviously quite expensive), we asked beforehand if we could pay with creditcard but once we were there they said it wasnt possible (in the end it worked out by using the machine of some shop in the city) and when you ask for help with booking train tickets, they can help but the person who can book the tickets charges way to much commission. But, if you are looking for a cheap place, you dont mind walking a bit further and you now know that you dont want to book your train tickets there but somewhere in town, this is a nice place to stay at.
