Although resort is under construction and rooms are old type but staff is very suportive,view is very good from resort. Other then old infrastructre everything is good.
The room had a beautiful view and the location of the resort is great. We faced issue that we had to ask for everything whether complimentary mineral water bottles, toiletries like soap and shampoo, towels etc. Nothing was provided till we asked . This is not the expectation from a reputed chain. Breakfast was good however we had a worst experience in taking the dinener there. The makhani dal and the mushroom masala vegetable was stale and double the salt. The steward tried to help by getting the same dishes to taste better ( not replacement mind it!) but still not eatable. We raised the concern and they agreed to cancel the bill. Other than location and the activities for the guests, this place has not got anything much positive. If the housekeeping and dining experience had been good for us, this would been an ideal place to spend your holidays.
The hotel is around 6 km from the Kodaikanal city-- Coakers walk. The location of the hotel is excellent with very good scenic views around. There are ample space for parking(not covered). The Junior suite which I have taken was much smaller than what was published in the site. The room doesn't look neat and they offered me another room which was slightly better than the one which was initially offered. Though the room has got all essential items, it lacks class and looks more like a normal lodge room - old sofa, worn out paintings, old furniture etc. The one which I like most about this resort is the food. The food is very very good and slightly costlier. Though its costly, I recomend you to try the resutarnt in this resort.My 2 kids enjoyed the indoor games.The resort conducts daily events for around 1 hour every day which was liked by everyone in my family. My chekin/chekout was very sommoth and it didn't take much time. Since it was a long weekend, the resort was crowded we waited for 2 hours for house keeping and after 3 calls only they appeared . I have seen large group from schools/colleges staying in the resort which created some disturbance for us , but still managabale. In my opinion this resort is good option only for budget travelers.
Housekeeping was not good. Frequent powercuts,no shampoo,no showercap. Front desk staff needs to be more polite to customers.
This is probably the best holiday hotel in Kodaikanal. The property is a little away from the main city where most of the spots are there. Nearly 4 km from the Kodai lake. Hotel staff is very friendly and readily help with any request. The view from resort is amazing. You can spend 2-3 days in the resort itself.
