This hotel may not be for everyone, but this was my third visit over the years and I loved it. You won't find deluxe accommodation but you will find a unique place to stay that's more like an English boarding house than anything else. Virtually unchanged since my first visit in 1975, it's still charming. Rooms and fixtures are adequate if somewhat rustic, but it's all neat, clean and comfortable. And breakfast is lots of fun as you'll be seated with other travelers who tend to be most interesting. Unfortunately the lively beer garden out front was not operating when I was there in January, but it may reopen one day.
