We spent a night at the newly refurbished (under renovation perhaps?) property. We stayed in a double occupancy on the 2nd floor in a beautiful room. Clean, well decorated, cosy room and spacious bathroom that made us feel completely at home. Couldn't get the hot water running and in spite of assistance, it did not quite work out. Wifi was slow but staff was very helpful. Breakfast is very basic but served cheerfully. Dinner and lunch came from outside but service was quick and food was good. Had a comfortable stay.

Many hotels floor the customers with a posh reception and fail in other aspects. Gold Orchid on a small lane called Dr Sundari Mohan Avenue is very unassuming with literally no lobby but the services they provide are of very high standards. The staff right from the security make you feel like each one of them is a desirable host. Food brought from near by restaurant is fresh and adequate. Anytime room service is truly courteous. Spacious room with a extra spacious bathroom and a simple common dining area on each floor are unique in their own way to attract both individuals and families.
