Dirt Cheap. Did I say "dirt?" This is definitely the cheapest hotels I have ever stayed in. I paid 250 rupees per day for a single bed room. That's about $6 US. You get what you pay for. The room was about 8 feet by 10 feet. That includes the bathroom which is slightly smaller then the bathroom on a Boeing 737. No hot water. Bed is VERY uncomfortable. No phone in room. TV was about 15 inches. It DID have a remote. Fan in room had only one speed: helicopter. Rooms are dreadfully painted with two tone pink. No room for luggage. Toilet was situated in the room so that you couldn't really sit on it. Never saw the "pool" nor the business center as advertised on the website. Staff was friendly and everyone sleeps until about 7:30am. It was relatively quite, since the hotel is situated in the back of the building. The price is pretty unbeatable, even by Calcutta standards. Room door latch is such that you can bring your own lock, which makes me feel more secure. Basically, it's a pretty cheap place. Stayed for 3 weeks because I was on a super tight budget and didn't want to share a room with someone like in a hostel. You get what you pay for. I'm sure the 2 bed room has more space.
