Its on the Lighthouse beach, on the first floor. The room was very large with long balcony with sea view. No fridge in room. No TV . No lift. Bare minimum faacilities. No kettle for tea. No room service no breakfast. Only one plus point- it is on the sea beach. They will switch on AC for INR 500 more per day

This small hotel on the Light house beach, nearer to Lighthouse itself has a few rooms on the first and 2nd floor. The room was huge, but no TV set. No referegerator.All the rooms have Sea view, although the front room has full sea view. There is no lift, No inhouse tea or food, The only purpose was to stay on beach, with option to go on the beach and come back to room as and when desired. It has a wide balcony too.

The bedding looked unwashed. The bedding is unpractical with no washable sheet to cover yourself in an AC room, only a bedspread that can not be washed often...... The towel also looked creepy and suspicious and they do not even supply soap in the bathroom. So I wish I brought my own bedding and towel. View is REALLY WONDERFUL and rest of the big room fairly clean and new.

There is nothing like a resort in this hotel. This hotel is in 1st floor & has a small staircase entry as if we are entering in a Lodge. There is no room service at all, with no room service dialling phones, so we had to personally go to the manager to ask for simple things like Towels etc. They didnt even provide us with Soap or drinking water. Towels(that too tatty) were provided only after we asked for them. Air Conditioner was shut down for 6 to 8 hours each day & nobody from hotel staff bothered to repair it & we had to approach them repetidily. Toilets were very poor with broken Showers, no Toilet flush & no Hot water & non-working exhaust fan etc.. They claimed to provide free Wi-fi, but when we asked for it, the manager said that due to some technical problem the WiFi is not available....!! The Manager of the hotel was a cheat & a lier. At the time of Check-in, he told us that he would charge Rs 100/- extra for each extra bed, but at the time of check-out, he charged us Rs 200/- extra for each extra bed & when we objected then he even lied to us that he never quoted the rate of Rs 100/- extra for each extra bed. He even took the advantage of the situation, because we were in a hurry to catch our return train, hence the Manager was wasting our time by refusing to give us our security deposites back & was quarelling with us to pay him the extra money. He didnt even give us the Printed Bill of the Payment. This cheating of the Manager totally spoiled the mood of our trip.

Arrived in Kovalam looking for a hotel on spec. This basic hotel has everything we wanted. A decent view, good sized room, en suite, air con and a comfy bed - all at a very reasonable price. The Crab Club restaurant down stairs is especially good for fish. Staff were excellent .

Demo Trip Sea front may be less quiet as very close to promenade along the beach. Our room was one back and was fine.
