Complaint........First day we were given one small room in place of the suite which was booked for us. The reason was the communication break down between hotel and Travel Guru. I also tried to contact Travel Guru several times and left messages however no one turned back. I have also not been given back the difference amount between the Suite and the simple room. Terrible mistake to have booked through Travel Guru. I would never recommend it to any one. Thanks

Basic facilities were missing. Food needs to improve a lot. Service was very poor. Room was not comfortable at all. I will never recommend to others.

Staff service were very nice they were always ready to help guests. Room was just an average type without AC.

The stay was good. On our stay the restaurant was closed. Room alloted was decent and clean. Staff and service was nice. Its an average property, could be much better.

I've recently been staying at Marine Palace in Kovalam and it was a good stay .I had a room on the 3rd floor with view over swimming pool . Room was nice , clean , had little bar fridge to keep drinks cool and AC in the room was good addition . Room service every day . Hotel have free swimming pool facilities and also back up electricity generator , so if there a black out you will have electricity all the time .This hotel also got a lift . Free WI-FI at the ground entry hall . And staff was friendly and you can also arrange a taxi to airport with them which I did . After all good memories about my stay and next time when I come to Kovalam I know where I will stay .Cheers

This place is a great location with horrible rooms. The bathrooms were filthy and smelled of sewage and the sheets had cigarette holes in them. The air conditioner worked thankfully but the water heater did not. After we put our 4 and 6 year old to bed at 9pm after a long ride there the door bell rang at 9:30PM and the bell hop asked if we had plates. I said there must be some mistake. 15 minutes later he rang the bell again with bedding which we hadn't asked for. Turns out it was the room across and he got the number wrong.

The hotel is at a good location near the beach but the people are very far from the hospitality,they just give value to money only, room also not cleaned well or maybe they don't have enough staff to make the guest comfortable. Have so many options near about so please think about it before u make booking with this hotel. Service is very poor!!!!!!

This hotel had faded glory.The room air conditioning did not work, and the bathroom smelt rather damp. But it was close by the beach so we could enjoy the local area. Not much lighting in the room which worked.

the Hotel direkt at Kovalam Beach offers the best rooms i ever found in India. I enjoyed it very well. I am a BACK PACKER.. normally i used to have max. middleclass rooms with sanitary-surprises in installations.. Marina Palace gave me a single room non AC as requiered for 1000 rupies (March 2015) super roomservice clean and comfortable - the bathroom "first class" the Restaurant offers good food and continanel breakfast. they give a good attention to the guest (i am only sorry, it is in the "background" Simple without terrace or view to the sea.) But besides of this I would go to Marine Palace once again!

Demo Trip other buildings block the sea view. It is opposite a Hindu temple, with bell ringing from early morning, and by a busy road.
