Everything is great. The view from the rooms is breathtaking. The beach is at hand and there are hammocks to relax in the garden. In the evenings there is usually a cultural programme. Put your feet up and enjoy.

I will not recommend this property to any one. Basic cleanliness was missing in the room. There was no facilities. Food was pathetic in taste. Staff and service was not upto the mark. Below average property.

I stayed at Hotel Samudra for 1 night during my honeymoon. I will post this review based on quality of room, service & dining experience. Firstly, the deluxe room i had was ok in size but had a stale air in it. AC was terrible and it was more of a blower than an AC. The room had a stink which is normally present in dated hotels and poorly maintained properties. I had expected a mini bar in the room as it was a deluxe room but it wasn't there. Also the TV was making a buzzing sound when switched on. Coming to the service levels, i would say the hotel is just OK. We ordered tea in the room which came quickly however tea quality could have been better. Our request for changing the TV set was never entertained. Buffet dinner in the open garden was good and we enjoyed live music performance there. Overall, i would say that its not the best places to stay and it doesnt justify its high price. This property enjoys good views of the sea and i would say that this is the only scoring point of the hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Best part of the hotel is Location. Its near to samudra beach and felt like private beach though its a very small seashore but still it was nice. Rooms were ok Ac was very powerful thank god Bathroom are somewhat dirty and not well maintained. Swimming pool fellow is purely money minded and he will behave like he is the owner of hotel. Food and room service both were not good.. Overall ok experience but good for the pocket... Other good options are uday samudra and off course if u want to spent hard on your wallet than go for leela or taj ....

Though the location of this Resort is extremely good, Resort's maintenance, Staff & it's food need a lot of improvement. Though we had a booking in the Resort we were made to wait before allotting rooms.

Stayed here with the family for two days. The property is very well kept and clean. The hotel has its own private beach which is very clean and well maintained. The rooms were clean and cozy with all amenities. The staff was very cordial and well spoken. Food can be an issue but that is a minor point. The resort is quite big and has a swimming pool as well. Carrying proper swimming costume is advised as the hotel sells the same for exorbitant prices. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was a decent spread. The Seaview rooms have hammocks tied to the trees and it is a great place to relax. The hotel also arranges private parties for small gatherings. The view and ambience of the resort is worth every penny.

Good resort , very good ambience, good food .enjoyed well.we had reunion of 1979 Mbbs batch ,stayed for 2 nights. Most of the rooms are beach/sea facing. Rooms are well maintained. Staffs are well behaved

Samudra is owned by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, the government of Kerala institution. Though its a government run property, the service is good and the location is one of the best in Kovalam. It has direct access to the beach also.
