Tourist Beware - Jeevan Restaurant, Kovalam
We visited this restaurant last Thursday expecting something good. The guy there very unobliging to all our requests. Very arrogant behavior and we even suspect they did not serve us the full fish we had selected. For a can of Coke they guy demanded RS.80/- and when asked for a glass of water he very rudely said we have to pay RS.50/-. Tourist, better be cautious.
Rats in bathroom. Hideous.

Rat droppings in bathroom two days in a row. No replica keys, so was temporarily locked out of room. Frayed stained bed sheets. Nobody in charge. Grotty, overpriced. Swimming pool water filthy. Avoid like the plague.

Overall poor experience..except the location of the resort and food nothing is great here. Rooms r big but furniture and bathroom fittings seems to be decade old..TV not working...Air conditioners are very old..not cooling to the fullest..breakfast spread not so good..will give 4/10 for Jeevan Beach Resort.
Best Kerala Seafood
by alimac987 on
In front of the hotel on the actual seafront is the two-storey Jeevan Cafe. Go upstairs, have a beer, and order the Kerala sea-food. It was the best fish I had in a week in Kovalam. The wi-fi is also good there.
Worst Hotel in whole of Kovalam and very bad staff attitude
by Neo M on
Firstly, whatever they write on their website everything is false, No Fridge, AC not working properly, rooms are full of sand dust n spider webs.. plus swimming pool is full of dirt, but thanks to our agent that he upgraded us to suite room, suite room is also not that great but still manageable. N mainly this review is for the manager or staff here, one lady named Kala is there she doesn't have any manners to talk with customers, she just says herself on website it is false, she doesn't wait to listen to our concerns as well, very rude behavior, very arrogant, no one should book this hotel even for 500 bucks.. its waste...
