We stayed in little paradise for two weeks, we, that's my daughter, who just works in india as a volunteer, my son an me, their father.
we had a wonderfull time there. For me and my son it was our first trip to india. Thanks to Joseph we could enjoy much more. He organised for us trips to elefants and backwater tours, he was at the airport when we arrived an brought us when we hat to leave, he explaind us, which public bus to take to see interesting places in Trivandrum. And, last but noch least, we hat a really happy home for the two weeks, enough place, AC, Mangotrees. As I said, a big paradise.
We stayed as a family in November. The homestay is very comfortable and clean. We had a kitchenette and fridge which was so helpful. Dr. Joseph and his wife are very accommodating with the only goal of making your stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent. I became ill during the stay and Dr. Joseph helped with getting fresh coconut water and he made a honey regimen for my stomach which was very helpful.
Dr. Joseph also booked us with a car owned and driven by the family across the street who have a small convenience store. Excellent service, clean vehicle and fantastic driver.
I would recommend this homestay without hesitation. Just keep in mind it is not on the water, but just a 500 meter walk to the coast.
Just a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a home stay option. A nicely built Bunglow with Well maintained , hygienic spacious rooms with AC, TV, Set Top Box, WiFi, Hot Water and a separate dining and Kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, gas cooking top, hot plate and utensils. The Bunglow has plenty of trees and adds to its charm. The ATM is just next door. Road touch but still peaceful and close to the beaches and places of interest. Each to carry your luggage unlike most places here due to the elevations and slopes. The place is owned and run by highly educates people with an extremely welcoming nature unlike some hotels in tourist town who can't even understand what you are saying. As a policy they ensure they only entertain clients of good standing so its a good place for families. All in all a good place to be and enjoy the town and it's surrounding and have a food time.
When I was needed to take two weeks treatment for my neck/knee at Trivandrum as advised by Dr Bhadran I came Little paradise Home stay. During the entire period of treatment I was not only relieved of my physical problem by treatment by DR...also I would say, found a home close to my heart. Yes both Mr Joseph and his wife M/s Linda took care of me like one of their family member! Apart from the facilities like spacious and comfortable bed room, solar hot water and convenient kitchen for a quick coffee whenever you want one but also the hot tasty nutritious food from Lindas kitchen which was prepared with lots of love and care and what more with the taste of Kerala.......now I stared to believe that I am in Gods own Home!
Moreover my Dr agreed to visit & treat me in little paradise itself as Joseph agreed to have Doctors treatment table in my home. I was greatly relieved by this arrangement as I need not commute to Clinic (some 7 Kms away) every day, thanks for this arrangement.
Over all I would say its a wonderful experience staying at Little Paradise with Josephs family....A home near your heart!
We chose to stay in Kovolam for a few nights so we could enjoy the sea and the nearby city of Trivanduram. The accommodation is excellent being well equipped, clean, light with all the facilities you'd expect and want. It really is excellent.
Your host Joseph is a delightful man with a wealth of local knowledge and can offer advice on things to do, where to eat and can arrange transport. He recommended we eat at Mothers Veg Plaza in Trivandurum at Bakery Junction and that was a great experience. As the bus stop is just a few metres from the homestay we used that to and from the city which was a really good experience.
We really enjoyed our stay in the area thanks to Joseph's advice and enjoyed his excellent accommodation.
