Santhigiri heritage Resort is a budget Resort best for family. The best thing is they provide pure veg food only. This property rn by a Santhiri Ahsram which is an organisation promoting Ayurved in India & abroad. Well maintained rooms with & without A.C. are available. The plus point is world famous Kerala Ayurvedic Massage centre & Ayurvedic Medicines available & this is run under supervision of experienced doctors, they treat honestly & sincerely. TheFamous Kovalam Beach is just 5 mins away. Overall its a best accomoation for families.

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights over the New Year. We'd been travelling around Kerala and well used to staying in some pretty basic accommodation but we were both terribly disappointed with this place. On the positive, the rooms are big, beds are comfy and the location is great - very near a friendly quiet beach (Rockholm) - bit of a hidden treasure to get away from the very busy, often letchy lighthouse beach! Also the Doctor on site and the porter were really helpful and the Doctor seemed to often be left to sort things out - well beyond his role. On the downside, upon arrival, the Manager was very keen to get 50% of our total price of our stay before we even had a chance to see our room. The bedroom space was clean but the bathroom was filthy - it even had belongings presumably from the previous clients. When we did get our room cleaned, my friends bedsheet was replaced with one with bloodstains on it and didn't fit the bed, only came halfway down! Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price but we went down on the first day to a really dreary looking room, saw flies buzzing around the uncovered fruit salads that looked like they had been there for days and never ate there for the duration of our stay - didn't want to chance it! We were told that wifi was included but it didn't work until the last two days of our stay. No hot water for any part of our stay! Often the reception was unmanned so you would wander around aimlessly trying to find someone to help. All in all, you could see the potential of the place but is clearly run down and uncared for. It was not about material things, but anywhere can be clean! To add final insult to injury, the Manager 'forgot' that we had paid 50% deposit which led to us having to evidence what we had actually paid which turned out to be a lengthy and unnecessary affair. Never again! Much better other places around in Kovalam!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and it was very comfortable. Our room was on the top floor with sea view. They offered a complimentary breakfast. and food was available on request. the beach is also very close by walking 2 mins. along with all kinds of shops on it. Very reasonable taxi and autos are also available near the hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious with hot water facilities and room service. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

I had been to this place for rejuvanation. Initially they were very helpful. But as the days passed it was degrading in its treatment,food and place and people. When the billing time came no one was ready to listen to my complaints. The marketing guy whose name was Justin my first point of contact did give me a higher authority contact number of MR.Harish and this guy said he will come back to me. But he never answered my call thereafter and never got back to me. I had to pay all the bills inspite of being ill treated cause I was in another city and didnt wanted to mess up for my own safety as I was traveling alone Overall guys not a good place at all. They don't have proper staff the kitchen really sucks and haven't been cleant for ages. Be careful

We stayed in this hotel for almost two weeks in February 2014. The rooms are large and very clean, insist on getting one with a nice sea view. The breakfast the hotel offers is rather modest, so it is better to go to one of the restaurants along the beach which serve delicious Indian food. The European breakfast is not so tasty as the Indian dishes - for ex. poor or masala dosa. The doctor of the hotel is a very charming person willing to help you improve your health with ayurvedic treatments and massages that are worth while trying. The whole hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Buy the ayurvedic soap from the hotel ship nearby - it's fantastic. Go in the evening to BUDDHA HUT - it serves fantastic vegetarian meals at very reasonable prices. For massage and yoga classes I myself chose Sri - he is a very good teacher!
