Large room, veranda facing the Beach, clean, excellent service, friendly staff and a good kitchen. What more to expect for a succesfuld holiday ? Management very helpful advising right contacts in the small village.

I liked everything about the beach hotel 11 , very tastefully done rooms....airy, cozy and with that balcony it was just perfect. Only thing a few things were tardy, not sure if it's because it is off season...but they had no power backup and their idea of drinking water was giving us packaged drinking water bottles. Found it strange and wasteful. And the wifi never worked in the whole of the two days we were there!!! Now if only these things could be looked into, it would be a great place!

Nice location, good view. Overall very good. Only major downside was the really stiff bed/pillow combo - nearly as stiff as concrete. That said, I would highly recommend this place and it seemed better than anything else I saw in the beach area.

The plus points - helpful staff, huge rooms, air con, good location, private balcony overlooking beach. The minus points - our room made strange knocking noises at night. In fairness, the management offered to move us but it had stopped so we stayed put. No swimming pool, doesn't take credit cards despite costing Rps 5,500 per night and having one of the more expensive restaurants, hard beds, free wifi for guests but didn't work in my room which I find out of order these days. It could be so much better but just misses the mark.

Not sure why this is listed as being in Trivandum instead of Kovalam - its right on the beach at Kovalam. However......Beach Hotel 11 really is great. Last year we stayed at the Turtle on the Beach but found Beach Hotel 11 to be much better in all respects at less than half the price. Three of us took two rooms for a week. The rooms were large with large balconies, and all the rooms overlook the sea - the hotel is virtually on the beach. The rooms have TVs although we never used it! There is no pool, but being so close to the sea we didn't need a pool. Wifi comes from a travel agency joined on to the hotel - it was a strong signal throughout the hotel and cost just GBP 10.50 for the week. The restaurant was great as were all the staff. The manager in particular was incredibly helpful. The shower was a little quirky, but the manager had warned us about that and it caused no problem. Having to pay a deposit of 50% in cash using Western Union was a bit worrying at the time, but it turned out that we had nothing to worry about at all. All in all a fantastic hotel - we will certainly stay there again.

Demo Trip Ask not to have 205. Maybe the 1st floor would get you closer to the wifi router.
