It was a pleasant experience from the time we entered the gates of the resort to check it out. As soon as we looked at one room we said yes and moved from a local lodge on the highway to hill treat. Based on a previous review on trip advisor that this place was away and not accessible we went to a highway lodge RSN and were very disappointed. As a couple with a tiddler and older parents we were looking for convenience, cleanliness and service and we were very happy to find all in one place. For someone looking for a quick getaway from Mumbai Pune or nearby cities but feel Goa is expensive and crowded, this is the place to Stay in. The resort property is very well located within the pingoli village which is close to Kudal station. It is a 15-20 min max ride with a local auto rickshaw from the kudal station or if one is driving, it is just 10 mins from NH-17. There is ample parking space. They have four rooms in the centre property and have recently built six more rooms cottage style next to it. We stayed in the newer rooms. All rooms are very clean especially the newer ones. I would not choose to take the older rooms. Guess they are cheaper. There is a swimming pool but we did not explore it however looks like they refresh the water once a week. The children play area is the best as my toddler only played there. It is a pretty safe enclosed property with security and people always around so there is not fear of trespassers or animals. Absolutely no mosquitoes however I would not know if the monsoons brings any. There are two rooms in one cottage which is perfect for 2 families or one family with older children. It has a cute little porch and small green patch in front of it to spend the evening with tea and snacks. I am sure the staff will accommodate and place some chairs and a table for it. The staff are very helpful. Our room fan was making some noise and they fixed it immediately. The housekeeping is basic and standard so you need to tip a little and guide them to your standard of cleanliness. Sheets and towels are changed on Demand. Please make sure to cover eatables as ants can be a nuisance. The food in their local restaurant is delicious. An elaborate menu of North indian and Chinese cuisine. However if they served some south Indian dosas and idlis would be good too. Snacks can be made better. Service in the restaurant was very good but please make sure to request for the ladies to wait the table. They take special attention while we dine and are very sweet to kids. The men a little confused or not trained well. They hover around to the point of intruding. If we pre order the food for more rotis they bring it all together and they just turn cold. The ladies attenders are much more considerate. If you like being served like a king all the time you can be fine with it but if you are used to self service most of the time, their service can get a little suffocating. Maybe they are taught to serve till the only think remaining is to spoon feed you. I would have preferred them laying the table and let us be. Food may be slightly expensive if one is paying for many. The coffee is good but make sure to ask for less sugar. The cable connection in the room is not very clear. It needs some refining. Maybe if they install tata sky in all rooms will be better. Unable to comment on those going for an alcohol experience as we did not go to their garden restaurant which is also a bar. They have only 10 rooms in total so ensure to book early in busy season. The moms and the wives who are clean freaks like me will be satisfied. We will definitely come back to this place and the next time will bring bigger families. Overall excellent!

A Savior A Savior

Sindhudurgh is a beautiful place with down to earth people, mesmerizing natural beauty and plenty of memories to bag in.. But it can give you equally tough time while choosing your accommodation. There are numerous home stays and hotels in this region but choosing the authentic one can be a big task. Hill Treat, is definitely a savior! Conveniently located, this state of the art place is completely recommendable... Don't compare it with the hotels in Goa or else where, it has a charm of its own. If you are looking for a good quality stay, with comfortable rooms, good hygienically maintained restrooms, this is the place for you... Also if you love Malvani home cooked food, do try out some authentic recipes at their restaurant... Will definitely visit again..
