CM kumarakom is a good resort..spacious and comfortable though requires a bit of maintenance. The road leading to it is in's more like a kuchha thin strip not even a road. otherwise the place is not bad. staff is courteous and food good.

Wonderland in Mornings - worth spending two days Wonderland in Mornings - worth spending two days

Club Mahindra Kumarakom is uniquely crafted, with a network of canals, to give us a Venetian feeling. Look out in the morning and you will find yourself in Dreamland. This is the best part of the Kumarakom experience. Also, nearby, take a houseboat ride, like for 2-3 hours. Don't bother with an overnight stay, it will be terribly boring. The property is small and the team seems new. The Restaurant team is the one negative here - the food is often very cold, buffets are arranged later than scheduled, and even on request, they avoid making anything fresh (scrambled egg was chilled). But besides the food and restaurant service, the property gives a feeling that one cannot forget. Mr. Midhun Mamachan of the activities team tries hard to initiate fun activities for guests, and is often successful, as guests feel like joining his activities.

avoid it...horrible property, horrible staff and horrible food and pathetic fun zone and dirtiest pool with full of sand avoid it...horrible property, horrible staff and horrible food and pathetic fun zone and dirtiest pool with full of sand

As i said in previous reviews, i am now waning away from CM fanship. KUmarkom property seems the contract is ending and hence there is no focus there. I would rather suggest Mr Ravi (CEO CM) to go and stay there to understand the apathy of his patrons. Pool: dirty as hell with dead insects floating. Fun zone: in open Verandah where it was hot as oven during the day and evening was full of big mosquitos. Kids really had a terrible time there. Food: Pathetic is the word. Overall its not worth the CM stature and investment made. KTDC is rather a better option in Kumarkom

Great experience Great experience

This was a truly relaxing and wonderful stay. The road towards the resort is indeed difficult but then you reach a lovely place with awesome hospitality from the staff throughout. The rooms are clean and well kept and the overall atmosphere is quite tranquil. The landscape is well maintained with plants , flowers and Christmas decorations as well as a few ducks to brighten the days. We enjoyed breakfast and especially our boat trip to experience the village life is highly recommended and a highlight to our stay. The only negative is again wi fi not available outside the entertainment area especially for foreign travellers. We had a great short visit and enjoyed the birds and scenery. Thankd

Very relaxing stay Very relaxing stay

The resort property is excellent by itself. However the approach road from the main road to the resort as well as the internal road from the main gate to the reception area is really terrible. This is a big let down for an otherwise excellent property. However once you are inside the resort it is an extremely beautiful place to be in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant though good has scope of improvement. Another very exasperating ascpect is the nuicance of the taxi union who refuse to allow non-union vehicles to ply therby creating a monopoly for themselves.

Demo Trip Stay for two nights, not more. All rooms are similar, but get one close to the restaurant.

Demo Trip elect a accommodation by the side of a canal & NOT ON TOP of a canal.... that way u can see the ducks in the canals.
