Good value for money.
Location was good. Awesome place to enjoy ur holidays!
I stayed here for three nights, they provided me the best of service. Cottage room type was clean but it was tiny, if not all well.
We stayed in Family Cottage for a nights and our experience was wonderful. It is a clean resort but service needs to be improved.

Spent time at the Kumarakom Lake Resort recently and couldn't have been more impressed. The resort is designed to give you the feel of a village (with all the amenities, of course!) and is situated along the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. What we were most impressed with is how each staff dutifully checks in with you to make sure you are having a good time and you have everything you need. If you are fighting over the last piece of a South Indian delicacy but are too lazy to go get yourself another plate, a waiter will have another plate in front of you - this is the kind of service you can expect at the Kumarakom Lake Resort. While all staff was courteous and dedicated to all the guests' needs, two people - Ashwini and Kavi stood out the most for us. My mother wasn't too happy with the cleaning service one day and Ashwini made sure that our villas were promptly re-cleaned and re-stocked within 30 minutes. Kavi is an amazing photographer and can make iPhone shots look DSLR quality. He knows all the amazing spots and the times during the day to get perfect shots. This is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to spend quality time with their families and SOs, or even by yourself. Kind of glad that they do not have free wifi in the villas, as this is not the place to be stuck checking emails or browsing Facebook. You can upload your pictures once you get home. If you are around, make sure to go for the Musical Sunset Cruise and treat yourself to the Ayurvedic Spa. Summarily, this is one of the most relaxing vacations I have had lately, and whenever I am in Kerala next, would love to revisit. Keep it up!
We had a wonderful time there. Very friendly staff and the resort is managed and maintained beautifully. Lots of activities within the resort. The food is excellent and the dining experience is too good. Would definitely recommend this place.
The Lake Resort hotel was disappointing. We had been told it was a wonderful resort but we don't think it lived up to what it could be. The sunset cruise was disappointing. Wifi weak-to-unavailable in our room, better in public area. The villa's bathroom was outdoors and smelled of sewer. Our balcony led to a pool which was nice, but the pool went to many different villas, so took away some privacy for us. Food was average, but (when we were there) they did have a full bar which apparently is becoming a rarity in Kerala. The area is on a lake, so dampness pervaded everywhere. We had some laundry done at this hotel, and afterward could still smell the resort in the laundered garments.
Very good resort, very good rooms, good food too but lots of mosquitoes in the room. As there were lots of mosquitoes due to which couldn't sleep well. They started calling at 11.00 to check if the lugguge could be moved out. They wanted us to leave and even told me the time to reach airport is 3 hrs which is not more than 2.15 hrs. Not coming back.
I can not recommend the resort more to couples, families or wedding parties. In April 2016, my wife and I got married in Thalayolaparambu (her local town, a 45 minute drive from Kumarakom Lake Resort). We chose the resort in April 2015 after touring all of the resorts in the area. From the very beginning the service was immaculate, we mentioned that we were considering using the venue for our wedding guests and we were shown around by the hotel manager and the events manager (no other resort did this, to our amazement). In total we had 65 guests stay at the resort and occupied all of the Meandering Pool Villas, pavillion rooms and a number of the Heritage Villas. We planned everything via email, the team were very responsive, tracked all of the decisions/ongoing items and provided us with many iterations of 3 different menus prior to a tasting session when we visited in October 2015. After the tasting session they took all of our feedback on board and created a number of extra dishes that they had never made before. Honestly the words and photos can't do this place justice, we were treated so well and all of our guests had an incredible time - we are so grateful to Sandeep, Sreejith and Deepak for all of their hard work and creating an environment where we could all enjoy our stay. Also, they make their own pickles which were out of this world, personal favourite was the dates pickle. I'm happy for you to contact me or be used as a reference if you're looking to use the resort as a wedding venue.
